Oh hey I just looked at Dodge's website, and they're now listing MSRP as $40,095

Yeah, that's factoring in everything almost. Destination charges, and the gas-guzzler tax of (I think) $2100.

yep yep, they have to list it that way, the tax is indeed $2100.00 (which off hand is more than any other SRT8 which slide in at 1300)

Below is the formula that is used and depending on the result depends on what the tax is. You must score 22.5MPG or more to be exempt from the tax. The tax also excludes vehicles classified as light trucks or business use vehicles.

(1/(.495/city MPG + .351/highway MPG))+.15 = Result

And the tax chart..

at least 22.5 No tax
at least 21.5, but less than 22.5 $1000
at least 20.5, but less than 21.5 $1300
at least 19.5, but less than 20.5 $1700
at least 18.5, but less than 19.5 $2100
at least 17.5, but less than 18.5 $2600
at least 16.5, but less than 17.5 $3000
at least 15.5, but less than 16.5 $3700
at least 14.5, but less than 15.5 $4500
at least 13.5, but less than 14.5 $5400
at least 12.5, but less than 13.5 $6400
less than 12.5 $7700

Gah more off topic.. here is the PDF for 2006 listing what vehicles required a GG tax. Link

Well I hope you're happy. Because you said that, I had to set aside my paper on the British Commonwealth, to make this:

Bud Lite and the Camaro5 forums present:

Real Men of Genius
(Real Men of Genius)

Today we salute you, Mr. "Pay $20,000 over MSRP for a third rate pony Car"
(Mr. "Pay $20,000 over MSRP for a third rate pony Car")
Some might consider $40,000 a steep enough starting price, but you know that numbered plaque on the dash makes it worth so much more.
(Its a special edition!)
Nothing says "Smart Consumerism" like paying thousands of dollars in premiums for a car you can get at a discount a year or two from now.
(Oh I just can't wait)
Your car may be put to shame by the Camaro, but at least you'll have a full year of glory to yourself before it comes out.
(Please don't steal my moment in the sun)
So crack open an ice cold Bud Lite, Oh over-devoted Mopar fan. You may have no money left for gas, but at least your car will look cool sitting in the garage
(Mr. "Pay $20,000 over MSRP for a third rate pony Car")

Please drink responsibly.

I see it. And I like it!! Excellent Job!

Change the target from Challenger to Mustang, and then send it to Scott! He'll probably get a kick out of it!

I'll try to come up with a Mustang one. We'll see how it goes. I'm done with my academic work here at Oxford, so I should have the time. Woohoo! Once I get one put together I'll post it.

Do it...one for Mustang (GT500) or whatever. I'll send it to Scott and John. You never know...they might get a real kick out of it. I know I sure loved it!
