. Countdown started! And me talking about my diet and workouts at work has gotten a few of them motivated. Two guys are going to do P90X and I have been helping them with nutrition and then a good girl friend up here is doing insanity and i'm helping her with her nutrition too. Its really neat to plant that seed in people. Now other people in my dept that come in and eat 5 kolaches each morning, I have tried and they dont want to change, which is sad. :( But maybe they will remember what I said here. I send out healthy recipes and workout sets in emails to everyone though, even those who aren't interested yet in changing. |

Inspiring others also helps keep you accountable.
So any suggestions on a protein dense snack for the afternoons? I've gotta quit the hard boiled eggs and yogurt. I was gagging on the eggs yesterday. That's when you know you've had enough. |

1-2 scoops of Chocolate Whey Protein 1/2 tsp of baking powder 1 tbsp of Jell-o Sugar Free Chocolate Fudge pudding 1/3cup of water Mix all the ingredients together in a microwave safe bowl. Once the ingredients are blended and batter like you can add other things to it (nuts etc.). Once prepared, 60-75 seconds in the microwave. It'll rise in the microwave, making a nice sized brownie. Let it cool if you'd like to add a sugar free topping.

You can cut the banana but consider this, bananas are high in electrolites which are depleted during workouts and should be replaced, bananas are very high in potasium which is good for bone and joint health and is known to help with muscle soreness, also protein cannot be absorbed by your muscles without insulin and insulin comes from simple carbs so in order to get that much needed protein to your muscles you need a simple carb and bananas are a great source, so everything about a banana is beneficial, so I personally think the benefits outway the negatives by far, you could cut the carbs somewhere else where they are not that important, if you have restricted carbs to the point where you cannot cut them anywhere else than you have restricted them to much in my opinion. From what I've read you have been cutting carbs quite a bit for a while and could be the cause of your block. |

Is it normal that since I started lifting weights that I feel kinda puffy? Like my arms feel puffy around my biceps and such... Maybe I'm crazy.

Other than that, as muscle builds and begins to take shape you may start to notice your shirts get a bit tighter in some areas depending on how much muscle you build. When I first started, and started making some progress, I'd often hit my shoulders on the door frames as I walked through them not being used to being a bit wider. |
