Which is worse? Bad grammar or people who complain about it? Life is too short to let the little things get to you. Im here to have fun, not knit pick spelling and grammar.

Nits are insects. Not to be confused with the activity knitting. If you picked a nit you would have to be hyper-focused, as they are minuscule. If you picked a knit your blanket is going to look like crap. What's that behind you......?

WhAM!

Now what have we learned?

If it bothers you so much, go teach English at a high school. Complaining here will get you no wear.

To the OP, you have nothing to be sorry about. The best thing about forums is we can agree to disagree and disagree to agree. So on that note, it also is a pet peeve of mine that people butcher the english language. If you truly have a literacy problem, I mean no offense. Our society has gone down the crapper and we live in an infant world. The internet, computers and cell phones have done more harm then good IMO. My wife is a High School teacher and my daughter is in 5th grade. My daughters english teacher can't even put together a sentence properly and misspells. The school systems are not teaching the way they should and not holding kids accountable. Kids are disrespectful and don't have a care in the world. TAKS testing and "Leave no child behind" has done more harm than good.

Rant off.

And ^^THIS^^ pretty much sums it up. You're absolutely right man, it's a shame. I look at the curriculums in schools today and compare that with what I read and hear and it's obvious that educator's priorities and responsibilities have taken a major hit over the past 15-20 yrs.

I was just kidding around. My mother is a PE coach at an elementry school and she feels bad for some of her students that don't seem to be up to par with their grade level.
