This bodes well.

Don't get me wrong i do not believe Mr J Clarkson of Top Gear fame.. is the last word in how good a car is... but he seemed to be having a hoot in the Vauxhall VXR8 (Pontiac G8) last night.. and said how much fun it was.
Ok he didn't like the styling... but for us, as the 5th Gen Camaro will share a version of the zeta platform this car uses it should be about the same amount of fun if not more!!

Mr Clarkson has never been a fan of the American cars, and even when he admits he found a good one it pains him to do so. He did like the Vauxhall version of the GTO though, so I'm not surprised at all that he likes the new Vauxhall version of the G8.

Clarkson will find something bad to say about even the best of American cars, like the Z06 (
. He loved driving the car but still found a way to call it crude, and unsophisticated. He made fun of the Nav system.

He will find a way to say something negative about any car. It is just a Brit thing, they're very restrained in their praise, Jeremy Clarkson more so than the rest.

I was saying that for everybody else's benefit. I've noticed here that the comments my tutors give me on the equivalent of an "A" paper are the same types of comments a "C" paper would get back in the states.

Although Clarkson is rather pompus...and he does rip on any cars that bear any lineage with an American Company I still consider him to be fair. Call me strange. But if a car does well, he admits it - whether or not he likes what the car is.

Example, Z06. Yes, he tried his very best to find something wrong with it. And what did he get? A vain attempt at saying the car is crap on the street. Uh, it's race-bred and designed - what do you expect? :P And the Nav system comment I found rather funny
But overall, you could tell he was impressed, and he had fun with it.
"0-170mph"..."In ONE gear!!!!" That, and the racing fire thing. I think he liked it

And judging the way he's been reviewing the recent Zeta-platform Vauxhalls...I'm fairly sure that he'll like the Camaro

I wonder if Clarkson will manage to give his classic 'this car is rubbish!' treatment to the Camaro like he did the Mustang:

Whoa!
I managed to find a YouTube of it...(the VXR8)...and with the LS2, it's getting up to 175mph?!?! And 0-60 in under 5 seconds...In a SEDAN?

Oooohhh, I can't wait for a sleeker, smaller, potentially slightly more powerful car...I don't know, like the Camaro?
