I cant wait to see this film, Ive owned the graphic novel for many years now...They've been trying to turn it into a movie for over 10 years now. Im surprised to see that they found a director with the balls to take on such a daunting task! One of the best reads of all time. The book will stimulate your mind no matter how high (or low) your I.Q. is!

yes and no. they do have a similar underlying theses... tho technically, it would be the X-men copying Watchmen... how/why you ask?

easy...to quote xanathos...

the Civil War series (that included not just the X-men, but the entire Marvel lineup) was based off the same thing. Superhero registration. either reveal your secret identity to the govt and work for them, or become an outlaw in an ever changing world heading down the toilet. but theres more to the Civil War than that, as there is more to Watchmen than that.
just some thoughts on the matter

same thing with Transformers. if you do it right, it leaves the door open.
