I had a flight lesson this morning - at a significant discount compliments of Groupon. It was soooooo .

Now I have to figure out how to fund the rest of the lessons and get licensed.

That is AWESOME. I took my first flying lesson when I was 15 right there in Las Vegas. I got my license here in Utah when I was 17. Once I went to college I no longer had access to a plane so I never got a chance to fly much. Now, I haven't flown in 30 years. I think it is so COOL that you took a flying lesson. Hope you can continue them. You go girl!

Sure I think about it. But, I've been unemployed for almost 3 years with no help from state unemployment. I'm too young to draw social security and too young to break into my 401K without taking the tax penalty. I'm recently re-employed but the wage is about 1/3 what I used to make and it's only part time at that.

But, I do like what you added to your sig.....fits real nice.

Did a really old fart thing today and went to a quilting class - started a t shirt quilt for my son...something to do with all the old jerseys and t shirts, awesome!

Sorry things are rough right now...seems like a trend for lots of folks lately...

I'm an optimist, so think of what you do have to be thankful for...might be more than you realize....(of course not know what is wrong). Hope it's a short term thing and things are better quickly.:(

In an 8 day span I had my dad and two friends die ( none of the deaths related). I had to go back east to bury my dad and my business got way behind. I had been working 17 hr days to try and catch up when because I wasn't here to order materials I ran out of MSD stuff. I sell a ton of MSD wires and so I fell even more behind. People have been hammering me about it, those who I tell are more than understanding. BUT its been real bad, I pride myself on our service and to be honest it sucks lately.. which is all me. I still have days of wondering what the hell happened, its been 3-4 weeks since all their passings. It been very rough for me and I simply just want something good to happen for a change. I'm not a baby and I lay in the bed I make.. things just got to me this week is all. I didn't even want to post this but you people are my age and wise and might have some understanding. I am a person long before I am a vendor but for some reason people forget that. I am straight forward and don't lie or sugar coat things, 6'3" tall and 250 lbs and sometimes I think people forget that I am just a person, not some heartless being cut out of stone. Sorry for whining, just wanted to explain to anyone who might understand.

I’m sorry to hear about you losing your dad and friends. Totally understandable that it would affect your business in some way.

Y'know... There should be a limit on how many challenges life gives us at one time. There isn’t. :( Or, maybe challenges should be on a point system, and all combined they can’t add up to more than the maximum allowed limit. There isn’t that either. :( Nope, sometimes if it isn’t one thing it’s ten. Nights we go to bed and wonder when a “really good day” changed from one that things got better, into one where things at least didn’t get (too much) worse. Days we feel like the guy at the circus trying to keep plates spinning on those sticks, and there are just too many damn sticks. A plate falls off and fixing that one means a different one loses momentum.

Good luck with your plates CC. Now, go pack away any unrealistic expectations of fixing everything in 24 hours, and be satisfied with what you as one person can do with each day. Those days will add up and things will get better. Until then... I'm sending a big batch of positive energy in your direction.
