i think it would be cool to have a late 4th gen Z/28 but these newer cars just dont have the "cool" factor that those older ones do. for a 17 yr old, its cool to be seen in a sweet muscle car. they are different. a lot of people have those 4th gen Camaros and Firebirds. IMHO. i know because im 17 and have a 1970 Camaro RS.

Not quite. People actually tend to still gravitate toward the late 4th gen T/A than the GTO or Camaro just because even after 9 years the car still has a contemporary, aggressive look to it; lending it to having that potential for 'classic' status. Granted the interior is a bit dated electronics wise, but I can attest to the fact that people still do a double-take with my car. I've even been stalked 5th gen style a few times..

My favorite muscle car would have to be the '69 and 70 Olds cutlass supreme, its just got the best shape if you ask me. And ofcourse Im dying to have a 55' or 57' Bel air. who isn't?
I'm with you on the Oldsmobiles, but the Chevy version of the A-body has alot more parts available.

Realistically, you are in Wisconsin and anything old is going to be rotted out from salt. You can take a road trip south and trailer back a project car, or go with a newer car from your area. Consider a V-6 3rd or 4th gen and slap in a V-8.(Added benefit, insurance runs off VIN and VIN says slow)

I wouldn't call it "hard", I would call it EXPENSIVE $$.

The Gear Heads (and I mean that in a very complimentary way) on this thread are giving ya some great advice, take heed and good luck on your search!

Sure tri five Bel Airs are expensive but you can find daily driven 210 post's for about $5k, but that's not really classic muscle like the OP wants. Same goes for 4th gen "douche mobile" in comparison to a 1970 A body with a big block. He wants a muscle car for the nostalgia not handling and performance.

Chevy 210

Well in my old town there is a 55' chevy in good condition for sale for 3000$ and it has a 320 small block i think, hes been wanting to get rid of it for awhile, but everyone in that town is into newer cars for some dumb reason haha
Other wise the 70s camaros seem to be a good choice, I've seen a few around here for sale by college kids who needed the money haha

Eldorado's have been FWD since 1967.

Sure your not thinking about 68 Coupe Deville 472cid since all Caddy's got ugly after 1968?

68 Coupe Deville 472cid

vs 69 Eldorado 500cid
