I'd rather an MG42, personally.

****in' sweet, dude! That yours?
I've fired an MG3 before (post war MG42, West German, 7.62 NATO) and an MG34 converted to fire semi-auto only, but never a *real* MG42.

Yeah - thats me and my Yugo M53. Post war Yugoslavian version of an MG42. These are shipped as saw cut part kits to to the USA and put back together by Wiselite Arms in Texas to be semi auto only. Cost around $2000-$3000. I actually sold it a while back to buy a brand new semi auto MP44 that became available here in the USA from Germany a little while back (see previous pic in this post). Would've looked cool mounted on the top of my camaro with a drum belt.

Once you shoot full auto, semi-auto feels like a bogged down 4 cylinder after driving a blown V8.

Have shot M60, M249, M240B, UZI, Mac-10, MP5 and of course the venerable M2 all in full auto. What amazing machines. Someday I'll own my own MP5SD... someday. Only $16K, that's not too hard to save right? Hahaha

What do you guys think of one of these as a fun accessory for AR15s?

http://www.slidefiresolutions.com/Product-SSAR-15.html

Overprices IMO, but it looks like fun. Just not sure what it's doing to your ARs semi auto components...

If you like bump firing then that is the stock for you. A friend of mine has one and he absolutely loves it.

AR components (FCG, BCG, barrel, etc) have a life into the 10s of thousands of rounds if you are using quality components.

You can speed the wear process up by mag dump after mag dump with minimal cool down period. I posted a video earlier in this thread and an M4 being fed mag after mag and if I recall, it went around 900 rds and the gas tube melted/broke. It still fired but was a single shot after that.

They make just about anything for those ar's. That's the beauty of it.You can customize them to be exactly what you want.

As far as this stock goes, I won't be buying one. I can certainly see some people picking these up though.

Here's the first mod that I performed on my car. I thought you guys might appreciate it. Before my Camaro, my Charger had a really great spot that held my handgun in a position that could allow me to arm myself quickly. (It also had good spots to stash mags too!) The Camaro lacks a place to stash a piece... so I made one!

This is a Blackhawk Tactical, Left-handed rigid holster. I got it for $29 at Academy. I got the holster specific to my handgun, and removed the paddle via the three screws.

Be sure to mount the holster someplace accessible. I put the driver's seat all the way forward, and mounted it just forward of the seat. Remove trim, drill 2-3 holes, and mount just the holster, sans paddle, to the trim!

It's nearly impossible to see with tinted windows. This is just for cruising. I wouldn't recommend ever leaving it in there, much less in the car. Also, remember to check State laws, regulations, and guidelines for carrying. In Louisiana, I can carry in my car, round in chamber, because it's considered an "extension of my home." I hope you guys dig it!

I actually thought of that too.... just not drilling.... wonder if you could do velcro or something? Might not be as secure..... but it doesn't leave holes behind . Those Blackhawk holsters are awesome btw.... I've used them for a while and just picked up one for my M&P the other day.

I wouldn't trust velcro at all. I don't think I'd drill anyplace else (my buttons are staged on this trim too,) so push come to shove, I'll just buy a new piece of trim. If anything, I'd just enlarge the holes and put some LED flush mount switches in the trim. People don't like holes, but they love buttons!
