fixed the OP's link...

I was sorta hoping for more in that article....

I can't wait to see what this baby-Caddy can do. It should, as they put it, rock our worlds.

(And of course, that may benefit future Camaros...)

For someone who wasn't around back then, was it even considered a good idea at the time?

As for the ATS, I'm sure it will be much better. The CTS body over the platform makes for an interesting size/width/wheelbase comparison.

I'm optimistic this ATS puts the past....in the past, where it belongs.

If it succeeds and is well received (which I imagine it will be, but the 3 series will be a tough nut to crack in Europe), it'll be the final step Cadillac needs to prove they can do what they do.

I am confident that the ATS will be world class...going after the 3 series and M3 is a great start.

According to some mods at GMinsidenews, Alpha is in trouble and is overwieght, supposedly they are doing an article about it aswell.

When nobody's happy until all cars are sub-3000 lbs...everything's overweight and 'obese'. I'm not worried about a single number...even if it turns out to be the case: Let me see the whole car, please.

EDIT: There's also been a "silver bullet" reputation assigned to this platform by enthusiasts (And I admit being a part of that) before any facts are known...because we WANT it to be. So if our expectations aren't met...is that really "trouble"?
