LOL this thread is worse than the energizer bunny.
I've had my car almost 2 years, and have only been asked if it's the V8 like five times. I say "no, it's the 3.6." that seems good enough for 99.9% of average car guys.

In these economic times, just be happy you have any model 5th Gen. Most people do not care/or are unaware of the 3 engine choices anyway. Really.

I've really only gotten asked the "did you get the V8" questions a few times. Neither car is anything to sneeze at, but I am waiting for the day when I can say, "nah, it's only a supercharged V6."

heres my v6 looks just as good as any in my opinion!

and i can afford a v8. i like my 6. i drive alot. and it took 60 to fill today anyhow.

Just tell them NO, it isn't. What is the big deal? If I didn't know any better, I would probably ask the same question about the engine size. It seems to matter more to the six cylinder owners than it does to anyone else. They ask the question, walk away and forget it, you go to the internet and complain, who has the problem?

Fortunately the Camaro looks great in the V8 and V6. When its got the RS package. Unlike a mustang,charger and challenger where the diffrernce is visually noticable.We can tell because we love our Camaros but most people just see the cars and get fixed on them. Do I wish I had an SS...Sure. Am I happy I have a kick ass 2LT RS you bet!

Well said I hate when people do that. Just man up and say I did not have the cash for it I also love when people say I did not get the ss because I hate Leather that is bull&hit and they know it or they say I did not like the 4 pack gauge that's when I walk away.

I did not get the 2SS because I hate leatherette. (Look closely at the "leather") they got me once in 98 when I got my Z-28, never again.I love a honking V-8 so I got the 1 SS and added the gauges.
