Test drove A new Chally 392.........

Man, what a car. Will be seriosly considering one next year when I get ready to sell my Red Barchetta ('11 2SS). That car has all the headroom, power, and looks straight from the factory! Hopefuly my '11 2SS will keep its value for a couple years, and that they keep making the Challenger 392's.

I wonder what the reliability stats are going to be for the chally in a year. I hope none of them catch on fire

Those things are like driving a truck! If I wanted a truck, it wouldn't be a Dodge!

They haven't had bad reliability yet, why would they start now? As for the fire, the only thing I know of is an employee being a dumbass that caused a fire and had nothing to do with the car.....

Yup, aside from the cylinder 7 misfire issues on the SRT's and a couple other small glitches, any other issues are pretty much a result of human error. Like the RT getting the SRT door panels and the SRT getting the RT spoiler. Didn't someone catch some of the Brampton workers drinking beer and smoking weed while on lunch break?

Yeah, smoking weed I believe. Hey, at least if you are driving a Mopar and the get pulled over and the car searched and they find weed, the excuse "it must have been in the car when I bought it" is a reasonable excuse haha.

You gotta do what makes you happy .. not what makes people on this forum happy. This is a camaro forum though so I don't don't think you will get too much support .. LOL

I have the camaro addiction in the family - hence my 2010. She sleeps beside my brothers mustang addiction- 05 Stang grey with black stripes and hopefully my dads addiction-chally, will be on the driveway sometime next year. My mom is a hardcore stang fan though. Shes loves the classic 5.0s
We're a family comprised of car nuts.

wait another year or two, they'll bump the 392 to a 426 or 440 to try and keep up with gm/ford productions. I think you'll be ok.

Mopar already has an aluminum block 426 as a crate engine.

They did the same thing with the 392..two years before it found its way into the SRT.

So..its entirely possible that by 2013-14 the 392 will be replaced with a 426 Hemi.

IF Dodge does this, and I had the money, I'd definitely buy one. If I can't afford a 1970 Hemi Cuda, then I'll settle for a 20XX 426 Hemi Challenger
