Geez, I feel really sorry for this girl. Why waste gasoline on your hair to begin with. They really must have been eating her up to do something that dumb.

If you watch the video, her mother was saying they couldn't afford lice shampoo and that this was going on for months. Lice itches and hurts when left untreated that long. She must have read on the internet that Gasoline would kill them which it would have had the freak accident occur that did. She is dumb obviously for trying this out and her boyfriend is even more dumb to let her attempt this in the first place. However Neither imagined a spark would ignite at that exact moment she was putting it in her hair. I feel sympathy for this girl since she will be forever scarred by this and her boyfriend will probably leave her as well because she no longer looks like she did. I hope that is not the case and he stays with her since they were going to get married.. Tragic story..

She may have gotten her advice from Yahoo answers when asking about lice remedies..

1) Why does this stuff seem to happen in Indiana? What is with that state?

2) I don't believe for one minute that you can't afford shampoo to get rid of head lice. Didn't the news story there imply that it was the kid's apartment that this happened? Paying rent but can't buy shampoo? Interesting.

3) I can't imagine the people involved are terribly bright....judging the book by it's cover.

our overall population intelligence has dwindled. everything gets made easier for us as the days go by, meaning that people dont have to go out and read a book for answers or whatever, they can just look it up on the internet.

After I just watched the news report I cant help feeling sorry for this girl. At least I feel sorry more than her mother appears to be (possibly because of the limelight). Anyway I just hoping that the dumbing down of our young ones doesnt continue, but I fear it will until no common sense and reason is left within them.
