We wont even see a GT with more than 340hp for another year and a half.

No i didnt misread your post, you just posted an opinion. I posted Cold hard facts.
You posting no cold hard facts. The '10 GT500 or Camaro has not been tested at all, you're guessing mostly.

I am reffering to the 2009 GT500 vs. the specs that we were given by GM for 0-60.

Id say my post which used real world numbers had more facts than yours which is centered on opinions and driving feel... both would be different for everyone.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

The 2010 GT500 has 540hp. Since the OP was talking about the 2010 that seems more relevant. The only 1/4 mile time I was able to find for the 2009 KR(same as 2010 GT500) is 11.92. So it's more like a 1 second difference. Which is ok because he SS was never meant to compete with the gt500. I'm sure the Z28 will give it plenty of competition if and when they make it.

The Camaro needs the Mustang to survive. Without some good ole fashioned cross town rivalry, there would be no point for putting a ls3 into a 2 door coupe for GM. I personally like one better than the other, but I'd rather see a billion Mustangs driving around every day rather than 350z's. Mindless flaming one way or the other is lame.

Being said I think its pretty cool Ford did this. Its like having your cake and eating is too. Nice, quiet, well put together cabin with all the fun sounds. If GM did this with the Camaro I don't think that many people would complain. Not to many of us left who enjoy road noise.

are you an idiot? do you pay attention to what i said? the first part of my post said "only for one year my friend" at which time the new 5.0 will be placed in the 2011 GT which will have over 400hp.

seriously man..........look at the facts instead of starting a stupid argument just for sake of argument.

these cars are as close to equals in the long run as possible
