I'm going with 3 or 4.

I can confirm 1 as she told me she was completely over him, which she obviously wasn't.

2. I highly doubt, but may be possible. She is still a good friend and we constantly talk, so I'm leaning towards no on that one.

3. Very possible, as his crying/whining changed everything.

4. Well her sister seems to think so

Many women do this (yeah, I said it.) I would need an example of this to give you specifics, but:

Possibilities:

Psychobabble answer:
1. The woman is considering many factors at once (women generally being considered to be better at multi-tasking vs. men being better at focus.) They are less likely to see a "simple question" as simple.

Raging hormone answer:
2. LEARN THE CODE, DAMMIT!

3. They want to see what your response will be.

AGREED! As Anberlin said "Boys speak in rythem and girls just lie."

But in all honesty men usually follow sytematic logic and women typically base their decisions on their emotions at the time.

Believe me hon I've tried. Just when I think I have it down one of you guys throw me for a loop.

3. They want to see what your response will be.

My typical response ranges between to to to to to

Maybe so. I'm fortunate that my fiance' is typically straightforward with her responses, but I've known some women that are ridiculously frustrating to be in a convo with.
