Thank God for Texas! It's the only state in the union that has a cultural identity, the only one that resembles traditional American culture at least.

I sure hope they raise the minimum speed to go with it, or I can see all kinds of issues ...

Personally I'd be happy if the old farts around here would go faster than ten under in the left lane during rush hour.

It's amazing what a southern draw can do to a woman

That sucks, well things change. Guess that makes you 1/3 Texan, 1/3 Cajun, 1/3 Yankee

STOP! Do not come to Texas.!

This is from a previous post on this same subject:
http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=139663

And in closing!!!

Texas is full, there are no vacancies.
Do not come to Texas.!

If you do come you better give some thought to such things as:scorpions, rattlesnakes, fire ants, cockroaches on steroids, killer bees, mosquitoes, ticks, chiggers, tarantulas, brown recluse spiders, love bugs, swarming crickets, copperheads, cottonmouths, rabid skunks, wild hogs, alligators, oppressive heat & humidity, bleak desolate scenery, dirty beaches, polluted air, dust storms, drought, wildfires, water shortages, recurring floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, rednecks, huge piles of flaming mulch, spontaneously combusting playgrounds, roads hot as flowing lava, the stench of natural and unnatural gasses, amoebic meningitis lurking in area lakes, recurring ebola virus outbreaks, flesh eating bacteria, staggering homeowner insurance rates, unbelievably high property taxes, mandatory death sentences for DUI convictions.

In addition to the above did ya know:
There are 5,000 types of snakes and 4,998 of them live in Texas.
There are 10,000 types of spiders. All 10,000 of them live in Texas, plus a couple no one's seen before.

If it grows, it'll stick ya. If it crawls, it'll bite cha.

Some folks say Texan's have an attitude towards "northerns", aka Yankees , might be true and it probably goes back to the "Carpet Baggers". A while back the Austin newspaper conducted a survey to determine what the most popular bumper sticker was,
Results:
#1"Welcome to Austin now go home"
#2 "If you love New York then get your ass out of Texas".

We also have our own language here but that's whole n'other post.

So I'll close and leave ya with our state motto:

"Don't Mess with Texas."

I think the funniest part of all is that most people outside of Texas have no idea the "Don't Mess with Texas" is about littering...
