Got pulled over today and...

the officer says to me..."how are you? Well I pulled you over because this is a beautiful car, but it's missing something". I of course respond "what's that sir?"

He says "it's missing a front license plate".

I figure well he seems like a cool guy/cop, be honest with the man.

"well sir to be completely honest with you my plate is in my trunk. I know that's not the place for it but I just can't bring myself to drilling holes in my front bumper to mount the plate."

He takes my info and comes back 5 mins later. "well you have a nice holiday weekend. You have a beautiful car. Be safe. Oh and by the way if you don't speed you wouldn't need that radar detector...right?"

"Yes sir"

....and I was on my way.

Nice line about the radar detector =P

There's a non-drilling way to mount your License plate in the DIY Section. It looks pretty easy to do

LOL yeah the whole experience was pretty funny. The cop was completely cool about it and wasn't a d$&k at all. He was a trooper which was surprising. I knew I wasn't speeding so I really wasn't nervous about it. The ironic thing about the whole thing was that I was on my way to my local shop to get a quote & appointment to get my windows tinted. which of course is illegal in NJ. A sign from the gods?? If it wasn't well it got me to just go home and rethink getting my windows tinted...for the time being anyway. ;p

Several members have also used the lower valence to bolt up their license plate, without damaging/drilling the bumper.

Being that he was a jersey trooper, now that's even more impressive.

But I am sooooo glad I moved out of there, way too many restrictions for me.
