Other than the 0%, he paid the price of camaro.

if you are correct... it is still 36Hp lower... the SRT is only 1Hp lower

....therefore the SRT is a BETTER comparison to the 2SS

Hahaha, OK guys, let's not turn this into a big argument over price.

I didn't consider the SRT-8 because with a few bolts ons the R/T makes more HP than an SRT-8. Heck, even if it came down to MSRP vs. MSRP on the Challenger Vs. the Camaro the Camaro is the better deal. HOWEVER, with all the discounts offered right now on the Challenger, the price for performance purchased was a better deal. Bang for the buck as it were.

I honestly think the SRT-8 is over rated and wouldn't buy one for even Employee Price probably ($38K). But a R/T for $33K was a steal.

And AGAIN, the Challenger is more muscle car mojo, which is what I've wanted since I was a kid. I've been more apt to buy Chevy, but with things the way they are the Challenger made more sense. I found two dealers willing to accept my GSU discount on the Camaro each was about 700 miles away. To me I just didn't want to risk ordering out of state on a car sight unseen, having to fly up to get the car, and figure out a way to get it home.

Finally, the production numbers on the 2009 Challenger is 35,000 units. Compare that to the 100K units on the Camaro and the Challenger will be more rare of a car, which also appealed ot me. That 35,000 units was BEFORE the economy went belly up and the Brampton Canada plant went on furlow. Now I'd be surprised if they even build 20,000 Challengers this year.

I look forward to seeing you guys out there. You too will have an amazing car. Bottom line, we're doing our part to support the US and its economy. Being a former United States Marine I can feel good about that at least.

The SRT-8 isn't worth the money.

Umm I'll try:

351.9 X 12% = 393.13

Now we don't say if this is an auto or 6 speed. If auto add another 3% to my multiplier.

OH, and on the R/T hood stripes...I honestly didn't want them but they were already on the car. They're just vinyl stripes like the Camaro. However after seeing the car I REALLY like them. I plan to add a flat black solid stripe to the center of the hood as well like this:

That's your opinion. It's obviously worth it for all the people who have purchased one.

It's still irrelevant to the concept of worth. There is a subjective variable to worth that has to be factored in. When the Shelby GT500 first came out there were buyers that were willing to pay $20k over MSRP. It was their money and their decision to buy them.
