LOL! How many Cups have the Rangers won and how many times have they missed the playoffs since then?

You can have that playoff series, which btw was one of the best playoff series I've ever watched, despite our loss. The Devils have owned the Rangers ever since.

You want to talk about how many times teams have missed the playoffs, don't do it while redwings fans are present, you'll just be embarrassed.

"Between the 1933–34 and 1965–66 seasons, the Red Wings missed the playoffs only four times. More recently, the Red Wings have made the playoffs in 25 of the last 27 seasons, including the last 20 in a row (1991–2011). This is the longest current streak of post-season appearances in all of North American professional sports."

Quiet! I'm busy pointing out the Devils' supremacy over the Rangers.

But since you brought the Wings up....surely you remember 1995?

The Devils were (yes were, now they just suck) a mediocre team that executed the trap to perfection.

Do your homework and check Lundqvist head to head against Brodeur. Make sure you put that in your reply sport.

Not to mention in all of those playoff appearances since the devils only made it past the Rangers only once.
I love to go see the Rangers play at the Rock it's almost like being at the Garden there are so many Blue jerseys....

LOL, that trap? That's what all the sore losers say....it's not 1995 anymore. The Devils don't use the trap any more than anyone else. It's called smart, positional hockey. People that whine about the trap are really just portraying a lack of knowledge about hockey.

As for Lundqvist , get back to me when he has more wins and shotouts than any goalie in the history of the NHL. Brodeur will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame the day after he retires. Lundqvist will only get in if he buys a ticket.

Enjoy your 1994 Stanley Cup win on VHS.

The trap sucked the life out of the game thats why they opened it up.
Yeah smart positional Hockey. Keep dreamin.

Head to head doesn't mean anything I guess. Must be a fluke. Already at 200 wins. I guess time will tell.

I live in NJ and the Devils are joke here. Trust me. I'll enjoy that cup every time some devils fans moans about the Rangers. Because I know when it mattered most the Rangers were better. End of story.
the devils fans always complain about the Rangers because they don't understand how come they sell out every night and the devils can't sell out a playoff game.

Thats ok the devils will go real far in the playoffs this year right....?

Head to head doesn't mean anything because it's a team game, not a goaltender's duel.

I've always hated the Rangers....I've been a Devils fan since 1983 and my hatred of the Rangers started about a year after that, long before the Rangers squeaked by the Devils in double overtime in game 7 on a garbage goal by Stephane Matteau that was actually knocked in the goal by Slava Fetisov.

But like I said, it was a great playoff series and while it sucked to lose it, especially to you guys, winning the Cup the next year and then two more times after quickly numbed the pain of that experience. I'm glad you're able to milk 1994 for all it's worth considering it's all you guys have, lol

As for the attendance, I'm sure it has a lot more to do with the fact the Rangers have been in the NHL for almost 60 more years than the Devils, during which time they've only managed to win ONE more Stanley Cup than the Devils have.

I was born in New Jersey but I grew up in Canada...so no offence but I don't need any instructions in hockey from my American brethren. I'll call you guys when I need to know something about baseball or tractor pulls.
