(PCK) Luxury Edition Package (for 2012, would now order LTZ model)
(QB5) 16" steel wheels
(PY0) 16" 5-spoke cast styled aluminum wheels
(RS8) 17" fascia spoke wheels
Fog lamps on LT model
(LZE) 3.5L V6 engine
(LGD) 3.9L V6 engine

New Features

(LFX) 3.6L V6 DOHC SIDI engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and 6-speed automatic transmission
(FHS) E85 FlexFuel capable
New front grille and fog lamps
New rear end appearance with dual exhaust outlets standard on all trims
(GAR) Black Granite Metallic exterior color (extra cost)
(GBE) Crystal Red Tintcoat exterior color (extra cost)
New interior woodgrain trim
(70*) Two-tone Neutral interior
New leather shift knob, standard on LT and LTZ models
(PDC) LS OnStar and Bluetooth Package (Fleet orders)
(PDV) LT Sunroof Package (Retail and Fleet orders)

Changes

(RS7) replaces RPO code (PFH) for the 17" machined aluminum wheels

Assuming that this is the same LFX engine rumored to go into the 2012 Camaro LT ans LS........any word on its HP & TQ output?

Yes and no. I'm not sure if the specs that were listed are for the LFX, but the Camaro V6 would be different anyways. Similar to how the current LLT is different from the 3.6L SIDIs in the Lambda crossovers.

is this it? If so, i guess it looks ok but could just as easily have been the new malibu. with that said, it looks like a generic sedan for the most part. Not ugly, but not eye catching either. But definately better looking than the current impala which has seen better days.

I'm very interested to see the final body. The rear looked so camaro-esque in the prototype pics, it could be a really cool little sedan.

That would be the 2013 EpII Malibu. The 2012 Impala is still a W-body, they're just sticking a new powertrain in and redoing the front/rear a bit. Other than that...same old, same old.
