I think that a group of engineering students came up with the concept maybe 5 years ago, could be wrong though. I don't really like them though. They look pretty tacky to me, just like most new things in aftermarket wheels.

That's actually really cool. Now I can tell off the moron next to me for cutting me off!!! I like that idea...kinda cool. Don't think I'd ever use it, though.

My favorite part: "..and you can do it while you're driving! ...you don't even have to stop your car."
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. Let's all take our eyes away from the road and program images to display on our rims. Who cares if you drive head-on into a brick wall? As long you have a marijuana leaf on your rims while you're doing it. |

While I find those particular wheels REALLY ugly, I love the idea of it.
If they put that onto a nice looking wheel I'd definitely consider it. I remember seeing them quite some time ago. They're super expensive I believe. Edit: And I'm sure I'm going to have my Camaro Fan license taken away for this, but... I also love undercar neon kits. Nowhere else, but under the car looks great. Seeing a car drive down the road 'floating' on a cloud of color looks cool imo. :::ducks and runs::: |

I like them but as for price, try $12,500 for 22" rims with tires, $15,000 for 24" rims with tires, and $19,500 for 26" tires. The tires are Pirelli tires. The commercial with the girl in the ferrari is pretty funny though.

I don't know why, but I can see those on the Batmobile.

That would be an awesome use for them. But that's about the only good use I can think of... They'd be good for show cars, but the only problem is that the wheels have to spinning at a pretty good speed for them to work, and most show cars are standing still while on display.
