GM Teases 2013 Chevrolet Malibu - Page 6

Rumor has it that this is the car GM is submitting to NASCAR for the 2013 season. It does have the look that will fit into their generic box, which is why they refused to submit the Camaro for the Nationwide Series. If they have a sport model it should be the Chevelle SS

i kinda like it...granted i do agree with above posts about keeping camaro stylings TO CAMAROS...but its definetly a nice looking car!

That malibu will do a lot to help Chevrolet. That car will be a great advance over the current model which already does well. It may look like a Camaro in some aspects, but that will help them sell, which is the main goal. I personally am OK with it.

Although personally, I don't want my car to have the same tail lights as a 100+ HP car. I guess our tail lights look nice. If it sells more Malibus good for Chevy. I'm sure corvette owners felt similar when they realized the Camaro would "steal" their 4 tail light design.

Does anybody remember the 72 and 73 Malibu's? They "stole" the round 4 taillight design from the C3 Corvette of the day. I remember them as a teenager and back then I thought to myself how cool it was that these cars shared a design trait with the mighty Corvette. I have no problem with it; "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery".

The Camaro won design awards and sold because it looks so damn sexy. It makes perfect sense to try and steal design cues from it for other Chevy cars, they know it sells!
