SDLFKJEOWFJPDSFJOWPEH.

DON'T INSTALL STUPID CRAPPY LOOKING AFTERMARKET HEADUNITS IN YOUR DAMN TRUCKS!!!!!!

Ugh. Have to figure out how much effort and money it'll take to rip out that piece of crap and put the stock headunit back in.
I feel the same. Never been a fan of aftermarket headunits that don't fit the space.

WTF
I'm flying out I'm only allowed 13 days off a year at my job so I have a few trips lined up this summer to Oshawa and Vegas so I have to take the fewest days off as possible at a time.

Just might park the T/A and fix this one first. Use it up. Talk him down to $650.

Needs a shortblock. Are you gonna do that, or would you take it to a shop? If you actually wanted to get your hands dirty, that would be a great project car. I miss my 88 Formy 350.

HOTELS

I'm trying to find a cheap but decent hotel in Milwaukee next Wednesday night so I can be like 2 miles away from the airport when I wake up instead of 160 miles away The ones I find all talk about smells and moldy scents along with broken toilets.

Depends on how bad the knock is/how many miles are on the engine. But at 800 I assume the matching block is trash so I could just dig up a short block and unplug/plum everything. Could call in a friend or two nearby and swap 'n drop if it can be done in a day.

It's also missing a shit-ton of trim from first glance so who knows what's wrong with it. However, it's all dependent of whether or not someone already snagged it (3/8/11 posting) and if the block is salvageable.

You wouldn't even need to salvage the block. I've been out of the thirdgen world for a while so I don't remember all the sources, but all you need is a 350 roller cam block. They put them in silverados, vans, suburbans, etc and they can be had for a few hundred bucks. No telling how long that 700r4 trans will last though. Mine gave out at 90k.
