Here's my Camaro's

Since my ex got my first gen in the breakup I was craving some GM muscle so I bought this 72 Monte as soon as I could physically leave the house again. I bought it in my chair, drove it home and my mom took this pic.

that is your opinion. Most guys in this forum with a 5th gen probably never owned a Camaro before but bought into it due to its popularity in the Transformers movies whereas some of Mustang owners have owned more Camaros than some here will ever own in their entire life time. This is my 4th Camaro and owned 3 Mustangs. I swear, some folks just take this Camaro vs Mustang crap too seriously like they actually own the companies. I know 2 GM regional managers in SoCal where I lived and they owned Mustangs and they were with GM!

I also just spent about 15-minutes going through the fastest list over at SVT site and from what I read the fastest true stock run listed was 12:67, most averaged from 12:75-13:20s like I stated above the average Joe is good for a high 12 second run. Maybe I missed something though. Now when you start talking about drag radials and bolt ons the times come down. So when you come in here telling me that I don't know my facts do a little research on the average times in your own site and forum.

This kind of reminds me back in 1986/87 of the 87 Mustang 5.0 then a few magazines like Cars Illustrated and Super Stock and Drag Illustrated ran a pair of new 87 5.0s one was Mean Mr. Mustang, I can't remember the other, with a few bolt-ons they were running high 12s, at the same time the average Joe including myself could only get mid 13s with the same parts. Funny thing is all the 5.0 guys were going around saying the 87 5.0 was a 12 second car even though the stock 5.0s were just breaking into the 13s.

Of course it's my opinion, this is a discussion thread. Like I said I was hating on people who have NEVER owned a Camaro and basically come to a Camaro enthusiest site to stir up crap. I've never owned a Camaro before my 2011. In fact I've never owned a Chevy before my 5th gen. I bought it because it looks sexy, is super quick and mainly because the support of this site from other enthusiests.

I'm yet to see a community as powerful as this behind a single generation of a vehicle. This site that is intended for 2 only model years of a single generation averages 1000 people online at a time.

WAIT WAIT WAIT... STOP THE PRESSES! YOU know two GM regional managers in So Cal? Really? My father was one of the two GM regional manager for the western territory from 2005-2010! Also the So Cal office is shut down, so not sure who you're referring to. I know FOR A FACT as I've visited the office in Thousand Oaks there was not a SINGLE Mustang in that entire parking lot. Also my father's partner HATES anything with a blue oval and owns two vettes.

30 diameter tires in the rear?

having 305 wide tires he may actually be able to hook up! the GT500 as it should come.

average joe is running roughly 3tenths faster stock for stock, mod for mod. its still a drivers race since 3 tenths isnt impossible to make up.....And the svt board isnt the best 5.0 board FYI
