Dude, I would have been pissed. Sorry to hear that you went above and beyond and still got shut down. Obviously, this girl is a bit more high maintenance, so maybe it was for the best. Good luck with the song. . .You're not asking the same girl with the song, right? "Round Two" makes me think you're asking the same person, but you seem like a sharp enough guy to realize that if a cake didn't work, a song wouldn't either (at least with that girl).

No, no, no; not the same girl. Taking a hint is one thing, and I can definitely take a hint, but blatantly being rejected is another.

Happy to say that the song ACTUALLY WORKED, and girl #2 was arguably elated at the effort, even if the execution was... well, AWFUL might be an understatement... but its the thought that counts.
