Newp, flying.

Isn't Nevada on the wrong side of Arizona from Ontario? About the only Canucks that would go through Vegas would be ones from BC or maybe Alberta

I think there's a handful or so meeting up with us and the Utah folks.

And honestly, if I was coming from Maine, or anywhere from the east coast, and I've never been to Vegas and planning on going to the fest this year, id plan a trip through Vegas for at least 1 or 2 nights. Just to experience it. If I've never been.

Via Utah eh? Maybe there will be some folks from Saskatchewmawan but anything further east will be a somewhat significant detour for them, if they even drive in the first place. Anyone driving from Manitoba would go through Colorado, and from Ontario, Quebec or any other eastern province they'd arrive via Texas and New Mexico.

But no Canadian is closer than about 1400 miles ... thats a solid 2 days of driving

Then again ... its the States ... beer is cheap and sold at Wallmart. It takes about $30 to buy a 2-4 here.

That amount gets you a 30 here.

Yeah, the lowest legal price is either almost $28 or $28 and change, including deposit ($0.10/bottle or can). I remember a few years ago when our SAE Baja team went down to Tennessee. We still had to tie off a few loose ends on our vehicle (umm ... namely everything safety related besides the rollcage) so we went to Wallmart and picked up whatever supplies we needed. We saw a display of beer for like $15 and we just had to buy a few cases (not sure if it came from the sponsorship budget or not ... lol). The beer tasted like water, but got dang it ... it sher wuz cheep!

You can only buy beer at the LCBO (Liquor Control Board of Ontario, a 'crown corp' where the proceeds more or less go back into the province) or The Beer Store, essentially owned by a handful of Belgian brewers (who also control most US breweries). Well, you can also buy it at bars but you can never take it home from there ... lol

Our Baja car was a sight to see though. It seemed like it was about twice the size of anything anybody else brought. Others had like 6" of clearance, we had a foot and a half . Two big problems though, first it was heavy. And second, the steering was weak and we hardly completed a lap all day long without it breaking on us.

(Kitty looks like my Spatticus did... RIP)

Was listening to Fox 'n Friends in the Camaro on the way to work and they played Muse - Time is Running out (only one of my most favorite songs of all time). Totally made my morning....

I wants to go back to bed.
