Only flaw [just member for your own self] the Van driver could of skated on some things.

If your in a store parking lot, thats private property, you don't have to have a license, insurance or even have eyes.

Still liable for damages but the citation was invalid.

Like the " I got a ticket for doing a burn out in my own drive way" threads that come up.

[Burnouts are EPA approved.]

Helps when they admit to the police officer that they drove from home without insurance. Want to find out if a man (or woman in this case) is guilty? Never hurts to ask, sometimes you might get the answer your looking for. I would know interogations are what I do for a living. Most of what I investigate is only rumor and conjecture until some dumbass admits it and puts on paper.

This is reason # 22,478 why I try to park away from other cars, especially in big parking lots. The long dent/scratch and busted taillight on the van should have been a clue. The driver obviously had no clue about "rear wheel cheat" on long wheelbase vehicles.

Normally I agree with you but in my experience (see the vandalism album on my profile for a perfect example) it leaves more open to theft or vandalism. With my Camaro I tend to try to park next to cars that look well cared for and not too close but not too far from the main portion of the lot. But then again my Camaro doesn't go to places like Wal-Mart, that job is perfectly suited for the Fiesta. That old Stang was an 02 with about 70,000 miles on at the time and a V6, so it was nothing really that special. Ironically for what I paid on my deductible I made back in resale value as everything that was showing age on the front clip was replaced.

I work at WalMart - which is why I NEVER drive my Camaro to work!

I took mine to work for a full year as my daily driver and got $2,600 dollars in hail damage last year. Having worked in retail LP for long as I have I've seen the horror stories that happen at stores in person way too many times. Now that I have district job and commuter car, the Camaro will likely never grace the presence of a work parking lot ever again.
