The infraction was given because you post mustang information with no relevance to the new camaro, not because you didn't have the word camaro in your post. The thread (already a repost) had nothing to do with the camaro. Had it have been a comparison test and had numbers for both the camaro and the mustang, it would have been fine.

TLR Unless the thread you're going to post (hopefully after searching) has to do with the camaro, it doesn't belong in the vs. section.

In other words: I recieved an infraction last year because i posted performance data about the mustang in the vs section without also posting performance data for the camaro.

That....is beyond ridiculous. Complete and absolute stupidity.

Most of the Mods and site management work for GM in the upper levels. The reasons why you have found the "This site is meant for Camaro discussion, if you dont like it, leave" is because alot of the funding for it comes from GM.

Hence the fairly significant amount of people on this site who work for GM, ...

no. not stupid. If you are here solely to tell us how much better the Mustang is, then you don't belong. This isn't Mustang forum. Yes we accept that there is an obvious rivalry between the two cars and people want to discuss and comapre them. But if members are here to keep everyone "informed" and the facts "accurate", then we can agree that they are not here to discuss interest in the 5th gen Camaro, which is the purpose for this site.

That is too funny! Whoever sent you that has no idea what they are talking about. I wish I worked for GM. That means I would actually get paid for dealing with some people. It would make all the effort, dedication, and time, that we put in to making this the best forum that we can so much more worth it.

We've said it countless times, this is Camaro5. We are here to mainly talk about the Camaro. If you are here solely to talk about another car or tell us how much better the other car is, then leave, you don't belong here.

Sums it up perfectly. I am not a member on any mustang websites because I don't care what the owners think of them, I have no interest in ever buying one and all major automotive rags do comparisons so I can read those any way. Maybe you pony boys should think of why you are here and stop bitching on a Camaro site because this site shouldn't cater to you anyways.

If you are here to talk about the Camaro, or at least have some kind of interest in it, then your fine, that's what we are here for.

I dont have the post in front of me but it was just a direct cut and paste with a link to a review with performance data.

Again..this is COMMON place and i see such posted on nearly every forum about every car type there is (except here where you have to mention camaro brand car along with it).

I maintain my opinion that is completely moronic thing to give an infraction for.

If someone posted straight performance data on bimmerfest, aff, or a challenger forum there would be ABSOLUTELY no issue.

Deny this...i dare you (as ill fill up the next 20 pages with links to suchs posts on hundreds of different boards where people did JUST THAT).

Hey camaro guys need the auto news to right! Its easy to go to your forum and miss out totally on whats goin on with the competition.

Hell, i LIKE information. I welcome you guys to post news on mustang boards. I enjoy getting the Camaro5 emails about announcements.

Didnt mean to "offend" anyone who would prefer NOT to be informed (because being informed of the auto news is badaaaaaaadddd i guess???) (insert sarcastic eye roll here)
