Um... RACIST?! I think so.

Japanese cars may be for some but most definitely not for me. You want to talk about reliability? How about my 45 year old 442 that’s been a daily driver half its life and has never had to have anything done to it other than a carb. rebuild?

Please go troll somewhere else, and if you think that a car with a little over 100HP is something that’s a race car just because you saw it racing in a movie, makes you a delusional idiot.

I'd rather have a pogo stick UP MY ASS than drive certain foreign car brands.

You know what? Chevrolet still makes the most dependable, longest lasting trucks on the road. Ford is #1 in fullsize truck sales. The Ford Focus is one of the most popular cars in the world, and GM is THE best selling nameplate in China. I don't know about Chrysler...Marchionne is still pulling the stick out of Chrysler's ass, but he's doing a great job, in fact so great, that Autoblog just did a review of the Hyundai Genesis against the Buick Regal and Chrysler 300 and said the Genesis was still a good contender, but may now be falling behind the likes of its domestic counterparts.

Do you know what car make just rubbed one out in all the top categories for quality, features, etc in the latest Consumer Reports review? Lincoln.

So shut up about your reliable Asian cars, this is an American car site where we enjoy the heritage of our domestic cars. The profits come back to the US, we employ US workers, and build a lot of our stuff here. We build stuff in other countries where it makes sense to do so, still sending profits home and producing great products to benefit our customers of the world.

Asian cars are good too, but as far as I'm concerned, most of them are "has been" and the idea that they're "100% reliable, always and forever" simply isn't true. Hyundai just got slammed with a steering issue for 2011 Sonatas, Volkswagen just got nailed for an ignition problem related to its horn setup, and Toyota is still whimpering in the wake of poorly shaped gas pedals that contribute to the death of stupid drivers.

So, unless you're ready to bleed some red, white, and blue, and also appropriately enjoy the rest of the automotive world, well, everyone else can f*** off.

I don't know when it became wrong to have pride in our own country's endeavors and products, or believe that they are better than the products of other countries. Sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't, but not Toyota, not Honda, not Hyundai nor Kia...No, they DID NOT MAKE THE CAMARO. And you, even if you're from an other country, well, just by living here you're American too. So have some pride. Don't like your American car? Then sell it. That's the beauty of living in a free country. We're not stuck with whatever new model of "Lada" that the government of Russia allows their citizens to drive, so be happy.

So if you want to go back to your Altima, be our guest. Don't come whimpering back every time a Ford Taurus blows your doors off, or when your girlfriend visually undresses a guy with a hotter car.

F***.

OP doesn't know the definition of a ricer. Also, domestic > Asian imports. Especially in recent years. The people that still think, and undoubtedly bleed, the fallacy that imports are more reliable are truly blind. The Camaro is a prime example of domestic ingenuity .

+2

Ford vs Chevy, Domestic vs Import, etc.

It's all in good fun...

I once owned a Mustang and a Camaro at the same time. I finally had an excuse to talk to myself...

I really don't care who owns what. If someone works hard and takes pride in what they own, I am OK with whatever they drive.

But we are still going to talk smack!!!

jap cars are not superior anymore maybe ten years ago but I think overall quality and price American car makers are on top sorry. Most jap car Ive seen just look like junk unless you get into the higher expensive levels. Rather drive a taurus, malibu, charger any day instead of camry or whatever junk they are putting out

Actually, the new Ford Fiesta makes an excellent B-class commuter car that does better than 40mpg.

lol thats me with my 72 buick skylark, every winter it goes down, but every spring it starts right back up. mine is going to have some changes to it. a new Dist since my current one slopps around a little.

as for other makes, I have owned Fords, GM & Toyota vehicles. I have liked them all, but for the most part I like GMs, very few of them have let me down, left me on the side of the road. My favorate vehicle we have owned other than our current ones was a 90 Bright yellow MR2

As for Sang yup Lee I dont care if he is Martian Hes working for a great company, even if he worked for Ford or Toyota or Starfleet Command, if he came up with a great idea on a great vehicle, then thats great.

for me Race out vehicles are those with BIG UGLY wings (not included is the superbird) & Cd or Vinyl records size tips. & sounds like a bunch of angry bees going down the road.
