No, it's warped because your posts are so biased you don't even notice it yourself.

Look, I even told people that the ZL1 would use chassis bracing.. I even said it would probably be the Convertible's "V" braces as it would actually reduce cost being that the parts are shared with another model....and ya'll said I was crazy..

"The Camaro's chassis is stiff enough to handle the torque"
and now those braces are going in.. and its a good thing. The advantages to having the entire chassis structure tied together will show in the handling performance. The "V" braces are heavy but that is the only way the ZL1 will out-perform the GT500 or the Boss 302 for that matter.

All I'm saying is, listen to the crazy guy every once in a while.

I agree, my post are biased. I was worried you actually thought they were warped as in, not making any sense or being unable to relate to them.

They don't make sense. Many have called you out on your mistakes and you keep going on as if you're right, for who-knows what reason.

I cant imagine them going with a much longer rod then they already have in the 5.4L. Seriously that is its achilies heel is its stroke is longer then on a 502 big block chevy and they self destruct if you push them past 6,700 rpm once you are making above 800whp, which is quite easy in a 5.4L. Also the GT500 uses an old school 1.9L roots style supercharger not a 1.9L TVS or twin screw. I think its a safe to say the weight discrepancy's on 2011 GT500's is do to the fuel n the tank.

If was told I had to drop the most amount of weight for the least amount of money I'd choose the GT500 over the ZL1. Its just easier to cut weight on a chassis that's pretty much been around since the 70's and not a 5th gen Camaro with IRS which weighs 3,8xxlbs before adding the supercharger and everything that they are going to add to the new ZL1. I look forward to the new ZL1 I know its going to carve up a road course or two, and haul the mail in a straight line even if it is 4klbs, just look at what the CTS-V can do. Once you get above 500hp it becomes more about the driver and less about the car they are piloting.

What mistakes? post them up here in quotes please. I do make mistakes and when I do I usually thank the guy who caught it.

Are you tryin to pick a fight with me?

If you want to talk about cars, I will.. but I don't want to argue about nothing.. That's no fun at all..

Here it is, I posted it to you on page 7.

This is what were looking at as far as bore and stroke and also another 5.7 option.

5.0L Stock
Bore – 3.63in (92.2mm)
Stroke – 3.65in (92.7mm)
Displacement – 302 cu in, 4.951L

5.7L (using 5.4L’s stroke and 5.0L’s bore)
Bore – 3.63in (92.2mm)
Stroke – 4.165in (105.8mm)
Disp. – 345 cu in, 5.651L

5.8 with a stroke 4.24in (107.7mm).
Bore – 3.63in (92.2mm)
Stroke – 4.24in (107.7mm)
Disp – 351 cu in, 5.752L

The deck height difference from a 5.0 using a 4.6 DH and a 5.0 using a 5.4 DH is about 1.1".. Not really a big deal seeing that is would save about 30lbs, have TiVCT and ready for DI.
a 5.8 would need a slightly longer rod.

^ I believe you, its just sounds like it might be a durability issue for the guys that push them over 800whp and definitely for the 1,000hp Hellion TT owners. I hope I'm wrong but like you said before this may be the end of an era.

That's what I was talking about earlier, you got spoiled on the 5.4. I don't think Ford will ever produce another engine like it. It's awesome to have that capability, but now you have an extremely high standard for internals

If an owner truly wants a 1000hp capable engine, he can do so via the aftermarket. Having a $21,000 dollar engine isn't doing the GT500's MSRP any good. I think Ford can find a happy medium between the 5.0 and the 5.4. Something affordable, reliable and capable (not up to the 5.4's capability).

I'm gonna research some of the rods in the Ford bin and see if there is one that can be used to reach a 5.8 from a stroked 5.0. The Boss 5.8 in Australia did it, but the internal spec's are hard to come by. I would say maybe some boring can be done but boring a modular engine isn't a good thing to do...

Fight?
No, I'm just tired of this Mustang thread. I honestly wouldn't hate it as much if you guys had this conversation in a Mustang forum. I would probably even feel inclined to visit a Mustang forum and read and discuss it there.

Yeah, I honestly wouldn't hate it as much if I could get out of the house and drive the cars I'm talkin' about. I would probably even feel inclined to talk about these things in person if I wasn't temporarily confined to a chair...

Goodnight...
