Too bad they've all been spoken for. Are they planning on another run next year?

From what I understand a power window setup weights less than a manual window crank setup most the time.

I am almost positive I heard the guys on a show on Speed about the Boss say the electric window assembly was lighter than a mechanical one.

^ I also heard the back seat in the Mustang is so light its not even worth it unless its a track only car.

What model are you talking about? I just contacted a dealership about an available Boss (for pics)

There is already stripped down 2011 GT's that weigh 3,0xxlbs, imagine if you stripped out a Boss 302 down to 3,0xxlbs, I cant even imagine what that must be like, especially if you were to add a Vortec supercharger and full Griggs GR40 suspension w/ watts link to the stripped out Boss. I bet it would beat the Boss 302s and top the list if it had racing slicks.

Crap just typing this makes me want to do it myself and set the bar high for the rest.

sounds good, but why would you change the suspension of the Boss?
you could always start with the LS and strip it down to 3,0xxlbs, that alone will improve the boss, the dam thing has got R compound tires.

as good as the suspension is for the Boss, there is always better (if your willing to put up with more noise and discomfort). I also dont think Ford changed out the springs which could help.

Well, maybe not go as far as getting rid of PW, locks, but do what Ford did as far as making things like Navigation not even available. Also, the other will need the weightloss a lot more than the boss needed it, so every pound would count.

Kinda on a related note, in the latest car and driver (25 cars worth waiting for), the have a few paragraphs abou the ZL1 and they say GM is working on a second car to go up against the boss, referred to right now simply as "the track pack". This is getting interesting! Ya know, as much as I love the GT500 and am smitten with the ZL1, i think I would really gow towards the Boss or Camaro "track Pack" (call it the Z28. PLEASE GM????!!!??)

What I would like to see for do is have the BOSS engine and suspension available as options for the GT .

a few bolt ons and the boss intake manifold makes the standard coyote equal to a STOCK red key Boss.

Not really. It may make similar power, but it still lacks the upgraded rotating assembly and will never see the rpm levels the Boss motor is capable of. I get your point, but the Boss motor with a tune is going to be in another league, especially when it comes to reliability.

Because a Griggs GR40 w/ watts is worlds different and better suited for track use then the factory Boss setup which was engineered for the masses and street comfort where as the Griggs set up can be an all out race setup capable of pulling 1.4g's and lapping dedicated race cars.

i wanna see a boss with a more aggressive setup!! The Pedders guy on this board said the Boss only has an "average" at best suspension set up. Well if the Boss can already get around the track faster than a z06, i wonder what something with a better setup will do!! maybe zr1 territory?
