That video is NOT the worst video ever. Far from it. As far as music videos goes, they ALL SUCK. My vote for worst video ever goes to, Krocus - Screaming in the Night. Anyone remember that?

That was a performance, not a video ... and this song is far worse anyways. I can honestly say that, while I don't like the Black Eyed Peas I can recognize that there is some talent there ... somewhere, I think, maybe. Not so much with this girl. I think that single example speaks volumes for the overall thought that went into the video. I could find other things wrong with it, but that would require watching it again ... something I'm not going to do if I have any say in the matter.

Its a music video. Its an ADVERTISMENT for a product. Its a commercial for the song. People see it, they buy it. If they dont buy it, well then, in this case, they talk about it on mass media, where everyone can see it, and then those people can seek it out and potentially buy it.
