Thank you C5 moderators for your hard work. I decided not to vote because regardless of what I think, you have worked hard to cultivate the kind of community you want.

If anything, this topic highlights the limits of digital communication. There is so much of face-to-face communication which is not translated into text. It makes me think of that one alien race in Mass Effect that prefaced sentences with a mood statement to ensure their point was made.

Excited postulation: It would be much easier for people to understand what is intended if they prefaced with some sort of mood statement. Dissapointed admission: Most people probably would complain that the method wasn't fast enough.

Deferential gratitude: Thanks again C5 moderators, and keep up the hard work!

I guess this thread will simply serve as a reminder that we, in fact, can't make everyone happy.

Sux to be me I guess...

you can't make everyone happy, so just focus on me
(least that's my philosophy)

Again, this is a Privately owned and operated site. Those who own and moderate this Forum, have every right and, dare I say it, responsibility to maintain it as they see fit.

Sorry, guys, but this view of just because you can access any given web site, you automatically have the right to post anything you want, just doesn't fly. As has been said many times, you can post somewhere else if you can't deal with the rules here.

Keep up the Good Work C5 Team.
whenever you put something on the internet it not private whether you like it not. second off its a free site so anybody and there mother can get on here. And you are right though if you own something you have the right to dicate anything you want I guess but doesnt mean others will like it.

Either way why do others get to post things and other dont, there are different rules for different people. Certain people can post pics of their girls others can't. They may find their girls hott and others dont, but when some one doesnt they are blacklisted??

For the approximately 41,000 members and only 14 moderators I can see how some posts can slip under the crack in the door. Think about what people are going to read and or see before you click that mouse. Wouldn't the world be hell if God gave everyone the same personality.

I'm pretty sure, I'm never going to change your mind about this site. And you have every right to your opinion.

There is no list of people who can and cant here... There are 40k members and thousands of new posts a day. We just simply cant get to all of them to police every single post.

Any one can post pics of their girlfriends/wives etc. as long as they don't break the rules in doing so...

Posts are edited, deleted or infractions are given for being rude, disrespectful or instigating. Trust me, if I could have it my way the ladies thread would be gone... we wouldn't allow any pics of scantly clad women here.

But I'm not the only one with input to what we allow so I got out voted.

There is no blacklist.

It's all subjective. and we aren't gonna change how we moderate. Unfortunately the only list we have are those that are happy with Camaro5 and those that are not... But who's on it is not up to us... And the list changes every minute of every day...

No excuses, we are not perfect. we make mistakes.

All I can say is, I'm sorry you aren't happy here. Luckily there are many other forums, and you don't have to settle for Camaro5.

FWIW.

People get banned from such establishments for acting out of line, just as people get banned from here for doing the same in the eyes of the managers or moderators.

In doing so, it's this site's responsibility to make sure those companies aren't promoting a juvenile website that makes those companies look bad. This is just merely one side of the picture, but it is something that has to be watched.

Sure, members could chip in and support the site, but it's far easier and much more beneficial for us all when you can get companies like Edelbrock, GM, etc to help out.

I can say from past experience that some members do get preferential treatment. If you have a guy who helps out all over the site, and some moron starts a fight with him, yeah....you'll probably let him trash the punk. Still, I think what most people want is a level playing field. If I'm out of line, I don't mind being tapped on the shoulder and told to chill....however, don't let the other guy off the hook either.

In the past, I would always try to keep it public, so that the site saw what was being done, and why. I wasn't always able to do so, but it was something I did try to do.

Compared to other sites I've been on, this is still one of the best in terms of moderators and members.

I agree with this. I know my 14 year old daughter posts on here, and I DO NOT want her stubbling onto dirty threads and so and so.

GTAHVIT, I think you and all the rest of the Mod Squad do a great job of keep this site clean and family friendly.

They dont. Ive seen some people that the moderators really liked get banned.

Well, this is Camaro5 suggestions.. So it belongs into the Camaro5 suggections forum...

I would like a list of all the members that have special rights that way I know who I can't mess with on here and who I have to bow down too.

Looks like I missed a bunch of conversation since I've been working all day. Most of the posts made by Moose and GTAHVIT have covered most of the points, although there is one thing I'd like to touch up on.

This would allow people to maybe vent and keep The crap as some say in a certain area. maybe less work for mods

Ive just seen way to many post deleted of other and mine as well. Ive also seen my wording changed. What gets me and what got me my last ban was the fact that you can only post pics of C5 girls with cars and no other girl was allowed. I understand were trying to maintain a certain atmosphere and what not but at least make it fair because there definitely is different rules for different people in here

Please read this, posted over a week ago. It seems that the moderators aren't the only ones who miss a thread/post here and there...
