Is your car stock powertrain-wise and stock tires? If stock, You are one hell of a driver.... Unless the other driver just plain does not know how to drive. Stock for Stock, same driver to drive each car, the 5.0 will get better times 8 out of 10 passes.

I don't know about you guys but I actually run my car pretty often and know how to drive it. The new 5.0 is not a world beater. It's a fast car but doesn't put bus lengths on the new Camaro. I know it's hard for you guys to accept but the LS3 vs. 5.0 is a drivers race, it's been proven time and time again. This particular owner, like most of you mustang guys, ran his mouth better than he ran his car. I would pay him $100 cash if he could run a 12.5. The 5.0 was not 100% stock and neither is my car. Mine puts down 378 rwhp and has ran a 12.6 that is documented on this site. If you don't believe me then great, it never happened.

It's just hard for some to believe that YOU put those bus lengths on a 5.0 as well. You did say it was a "driver's race"...

I was there for those runs....he's not bullshitting. Car has barely any mods done to it.

The 5.0 isn't the all mighty you Ford boys make it out to be, sorry.

I am not a Ford Boy, I own a GT500 and a Camaro 2SS and this is my 6th Camaro. I don't think anyone said the 5.0 is almighty, I personally am saying that IF the same driver drives the SS and the 5.0, stock for stock, the 5.0 will inch a win more times than the Camaro. But I agree, it is a driver's race in two competing drivers.
