I have an iPad and bought it mainly to read books. Added benefit of doing movies, games and a lot more.
Oh, and the Comcast Xfinity app that allows me to watch On Demand stuff is pretty slick.

I bought my 32GB 3G iPad in September and I'm totally in love with it. I use it way more than I thought I would. It's much easier to tote around than a laptop and overall just much more convenient to use. In bed/on couch web surfing rocks.
I love iBooks, I keep my cars' manual and other important scanned documents in there. I don't even bring a pen and paper to meetings anymore either, I just use the Notes. I also like that all my notes from my iPhone automatically sync it into my iPad notes, and vice versa. Of course, games... Don't really need much explanation there. I highly recommend App Shopper. I finally held and messed around with an iPad 2 this weekend at Best Buy. Now I really want to upgrade lol Even though the weight difference is only a few ounces, it makes a very big difference. I really like the white color option and the new Smart Cover too. We'll see

iPad here and love it. I use it 70% of the time for just about anything. I still use my Mac to manage photos, iTunes, movies and to write long documents. But the iPad goes with me everywhere now for day to day email, browsing and reading. I just went on a week trip and did not bring my computer and the iPad did just fine. Oh and Angry Birds!!!!
