Wow that would put it in 4th place in Motor Trend's fastest Laguna Seca time's between the ZR1 and 07 911 GT3.

its crazy that its closer to the ZR1 in performance (+3.67 seconds) around that track than it is to the CTSV (-4.35 seconds) and 2010 GT500 (-4.82 seconds) and 2010 SS (-6.22 seconds)

Very impressive! Not at all what I want, no more than I would want skinny tires up front and overstuffed DR's on my daily driver. BUT, for people who either track their car regularly or want a turn-key SCCA monster, what an incredible ride. Myself, I will take the creature comfort's, leather and uber stereo all day long.

With all due respect to the LS Boss (and I truly do mean that, what an incredible job by FoMoCo) the Z06 was the first year model, and now a 6 year old test. Still a very impressive show, but I would like to see the 2011 z07 package Z06 times, same day/same driver before anyone proclaims the LS Boss the better of the Z06.

Cool! Thanks for the link. So the LS Boss posts a VERY respectable time compared to the Z07/Z06. Still, I would love to see a same day/same driver test of these track cars. Too bad the Trans Am series is now defunct.

The Boss LS is on much better tires than the 2006 z06 was. R-Compounds vs Runflats. I give all the credit in the world to the capabilities of the Boss, but don't go thinking you're going to see well-driven z06's giving point-by's to Bosses at your local track days.

With that, I'd take a Boss in a heartbeat.

but you also have to take into account the steamroller sized tires the z06 comes with. those things are incredibly wide and provide much more surface area than the lil 5.0....did we forget to mention the 2.0 liter displacement advantage AND weight advantage?

The z06 is an incredible car, a bargain by some peoples standards. The boss even more so iMO
