Even then the 392 is still priced waaaay above the SS and 5.0. So the whole price difference arguement is still valid. And in regards to My "conspiracy theory" I had not taken into account that they did select the volt as car of the year, I still think they have a huge hard-on for Ford/BMW cars that causes them to be biased.

I remember there was a huge uproar when they compared the RT, GT and SS all together. All the dodge fanboys were up in arms because they didn't test the SRT-8 and R&T even said that they didn't do it because of the huge price difference. I dont know what your definition of WAAAY is in reference to car prices but to me 8-10k difference in price is pretty substantial. Plus their warranty isn't as good as GM's so you're getting all of that bigger trunk, more room, fancy car that will likely break down a few hundred miles down the road. So in my opinion you are paying a whole lotta extra $$$ for the hemi name and some MOPAR fantasies that should stay in the past because the last real MOPAR that was released was in the 70's.

![]() and warranties dont always equate to quality products. you can buy a ton of things at autozone that have lifetime warranties but crap out year after year. Im sure gm makes fine engines and they have DO have a great warranty to go along with it (warranties help attract buyers as well) but that doesnt mean an engine with a shorter warranty is not built to similar standards and tolerances. Garbage? where is this garbage that you speak of?
Dodge Challenger SRT8 392: Priced to about 46k Dodge Challenger SRT8: Built on the dodge website for 41k Chevy 2SS/RS Camaro: Built for 35k Ford Mustang GT premium: Built for 37k Ford Mustang Boss302: Built for 42k Yeah the prices are built for comparable results too, nothin crazy just the RS package and the supposed "track pack" for the mustangs. Still you see that the SRT8 392 is priced way over the comp. If i could get my SS and have 12k left over for mods I'd build something to blow it out of the water. The price difference is key and like I said, it's for something that isn't really relevant anymore. Products with a better warranty are much better because if it breaks. send it back and it's covered for free. That's why they are better, enjoy paying 46 k for something that's gonna break fataly on you right after the 36 month warranty is out.

Regardless ... it is a much smaller difference than this comparison or even the Z06/GT500 comparison.. Like I say .. we shouldn't even be arguing !! .. It is a HELL of a great time for us car folks right now !!! Crowley
