For Real! Every C5/6 I see is being driven under the speed limit; comes to a complete stop to make any turn;and brakes excessively. One red c6 on 290 in Chicago was being driven by some 50 yr old guy, looked like a businessman... Anyway he was literally riding the brake the whole time. Like he had his foot at an angle on the floor hitting both pedals.... and it looked like maybe he was sleeping being his bada$$ shades... I just dont get it.

I'm starting to be ashamed that I have a camaro anymore. It's seems with the sea of threads anymore of camaro people complaining about people with other makes of cars and now complaining about one of our own, that they believe that somehow just because they own a camaro they are above everyone else and everyone else should bow to them because they own a camaro. I don't get it. I would rather see a guy in a corvette taking it easy than some nut case in a camaro weaving in and out of traffic and speeding.

Wow! You missed the point. The OP was referring to vette drivers driving way below the posted limit. Who wants to see some yawhoo on a tear driving reckless? I really don't think anyone in a camaro thinks their somehow above anyone especially our big brother vettes!

Then why do so many of these types of threads seem to pop up? I see many people with hot expensive cars driving slowly. I do it myself sometimes. Sometimes it's nice to slow down and see the world around you.

I swear it's been a long time since I have even seen a Corvette accelerate faster than a Grandma in a 1980s Buick ! Though I have been noticing a slow down in everyone's driving though, big SUV/truck gas guzzlers in particular..... they are like lumbering tug boats going down the road now.... haha. I have also noticed multiple SUV's for sale, in particular this white Infiniti QX56 with chromed alloys just down the road.... No thanks, I dont want to spend $200+ a week on gas. Already spend about $50-60 per fillup, one fillup per week now. You SS owners must be feeling the pain at the pump !
Go to your Infiniti forum and whine

I think their are two types of people that buy fast or exotic cars. Type 1 : enjoys the car for the power, handling and thrills and respects the engineering aspect of the vehicle. Type 2 : just wants to be "seen" and they can afford it. Type 1 hates type 2 ,thus the threads. No true muscle car or super car guy NEVER gets on their cars, I don't car what people want to say on here. If you buy a C6 Z06 for example and only drive 40 miles an hour..what was the reason for said purchase?
You could do that in a kia

many vette owners drive slow just because we know we're watched more. i'm a lot more reluctant to drive fast in the vette than when i'm in the truck. that ain't to say holding up traffic is a good thing or even a wise thing, but, like others have said, many corvette owers nowadays are old people who just bought the car to have a corvette, & they drive it the same way they would in their buick. the same can be said about the camaro.

mmmm... i tend to take it easier in the truck

...sometimes

i drive the corvette for the gas mileage. 17mpg through a 26gal tank of 93 in the truck ain't really condusive to an economical trad trip. i can do 100 @ 17mpg in the car

I hate to say it but your wrong. I have a prime example. One of my friends has three old 64 Plymouths. All three have "big" big block power ,very low gears ,very light weight and run in the 11's. At the track he runs them hard. On the road he drives light an old lady going to church. How do you know that just because someone drives their car slow on the street that they don't thrash it somewhere else? Threads like these make no sense to me. Just more people needing something else to complain about.

Since you changed your sig I didn't know if you had the Vette any more. I've got the list I want from Vengeance and hoping this fall I can get it up there. I'm staying N/A with mine.

haha, yeah, i just figured it was time for a change. my car's still silver, so i didn't want my future paint scheme up there anymore (it made me sad that it ain't painted yet) & the newest pics of the truck i have are from fall 08, & i've done a few changes since then, so i thought i'd just delete my sig for now.

i'm looking for a shop to install the Kenne Bell 2.6, headers, & cam sometime in the next couple months, so i won't be the guy holding up traffic with my measly 345hp :(
