definitely. Just hit 3.25 here. in about 3 days...freaked me out. That's why I've decided to wait for an E85 capable Camaro V8 (yeah, dreams). not so much for price, but for availability of the fuel.

I was looking into them and while the numbers suggest that it will compete with a corvette Z06, a closer look reveals that the Chevy is still a better buy for a performance car, even if they both carry a 70k price tag.
480 hp 3.8L turbocharged V6 vs 505 hp 7.0L NA V8 430 ft lbs vs 470 ft lbs 3850 lbs vs 3150 lbs $70 000 vs $70 000 Handling characteristics unknown, but the vette can pull nearly 1G on the skidpad

I'm sure the Nissan will pull very close to that in the Skidpad.

I think handling will be the GT-Rs strong point.
The Z06 handles phenominally too, but the Z06 is far less forgiving. You really have to be a good/experienced driver to get some of those magazine times. I think cars like the GT-R are far easier to drive, and easier to drive them to their full potential. |

AWD just has a way of making you feel like a much better driver than you really are.

Diarmahdi, I'm a huge anime fan in general. I was looking for that specific picture of Uliquirra (spelling)

I think this thread can be merged with the other GT-R thread here to save space.

Just incase some of the "GTR is faster club" didnt know.. the ring time with the corvette.. was on stock run flats.. the GTR was running racing slicks when it did its run.... another point of contention. But still its butt ugly to me..
Mindz - Currently I'm hip deep in naruto and bleach.. friend wants me to start watching one peice but its just not really my type.. (oh and old school anime like voltron and vampire hunter D is my fav stuff..)

Edit: My bad, the GT-R's run was not made on stock runflats.... they used cut slicks :-/
re-edit: Now I'm finding articles saying the laps on cut slicks were faster than the 7:38, the 7:38 was done on the stock run flats.... So basically, I don't know WHAT kind of tires they were running, and honestly, I don't care... a fast car is a fast car, weather it is a Chevy v8, or an imported twin turbo v6. What is impressive about the GT-R is exactly what Shadowsong said, that there really isn't much fanboy hatred against the GT-R. Car guys from all aspects of the automotive enthusiast realm respect the car, and generally recognize that it is totally legit by nearly any standard.
