Came home to my neighbors 2011 Challenger SRT8

So, I come home today from the car wash to find a neighbor I've never met before outside with a brand spanking new 2011 Challenger SRT8. Told him how I just noticed some yellow paint specks on the side of my car (must've run over some wet lines in the road at some point) and he went and got me a clay bar to see if it'd take the paint off, which it did. So, mentioned that he needed to take me out in his new car....especially since this new one is 470hp and slightly quicker than the SS. He claimed 4.1 0-60 and I read online it's more like 4.5, maybe 4.4. But, we went out on some back roads and the thing definitely felt faster than my stock SS. His uncle apparently also has an SS and we're gonna do a shoot sometime in the near future. But, after the old Challenger fell on it's face (4.8 0-60 and more expensive than our SS) I thought they did a nice job with this one. His is also the limited edition, but it doesn't add any extra performance. It basically includes the stripes and a badge on the dash. Overall, the guy was a really cool dude. And, that is one nice car. Just thought I'd share.

Wow, they've already made changes to the body??? Looks nice... I liked the old wheels better though...

Did ya ask what it cost him?

Probably close to $45k.....I think i'll take a ZL1

They are a nice looking car and Dodge did a great job capturing the essence of old with the body styling.

I think base is about 45 + the limited edition package which he said was 3k. Probably came out to around $50k. At that price, I'd also take the zl1.

It also had white leather, which is dangerous. Looks great with the white exterior, but too hard to keep clean

The 392 Challengers are beautiful. It is a shame they would be over $50,000! I think the resale value on the ZL-1 would be better than the 392.

Its nice that you can appreciate a car that is not a Chevy. I like the Challenger, Mustang and Camaro. They are all cool. There are way too many mustangs but they are still neat cars. I wish I had one of each.

Exactly the way I feel too. I'd love to add a Mustang and Challenger to my collection, but no more room to park stuff.
