I use to put up and decorate a St. Patrick`s Day tree, then put a magnum of Wild Irish Rose at the bottom of the tree to get the St. Patrick`s Day Leprechaun good and drunk, then in the morning we would mug the drunk and passed out leprechaun for all his gold! Oh the memories.

Sadly I am home from work sick today so no celebrating for me. We are members of the Buffalo Dachshund Club however and we will be marching in the Buffalo St Patricks day parade on Sunday. I bring my Silverado pickup and we decorate it and name it the Wiener Wagon and my dogs ride with me wearing little hats and the club marches with their dogs behind it. They climb in the bed if the dogs get tired. It is a lot of fun and you can only imagine the comments we hear.

I'll wear green today, but the real celebration is on Saturday (day off) - a good old fashioned corned beef and cabbage dinner at my best friend's house. It's been our tradition for over 20 years!
