Ok, the carb pulsing seems to work pretty well. I think carbs are the enemy based on my results.

12/27/10 - 168.5 - 12.4%
1/10/11 - 166 - 12.1%
1/17/11 - 167 - 11.7%
1/24/11 - 167.5 - 12.2%
1/31/11 - 164.5 - 11.6%
2/7/11 - 163.5 - 11.2%
2/14/11 - 163 - 10.7%
2/21/11 - 165 - 11.2% (added back too many carbs - removed some also started thermogenic)
2/28/11 - 163.5 - 10.3%
3/7/11 - 163.5 - 10.6%
3/14/11 - 161 - 10.1% (carb pulse)

On workout days I have about 110 - 120 grams of carbs a day tapering them off by 4pm.

On non workout days I limit carbs to 50 or less.

The time change SUCKS. I woke up at 4am and couldn't go back to sleep. I guess I was afraid I'd over sleep. I normally take this week off from the gym but decided to push through. I didn't expect to break any records but wanted to at least match last week's workout which I did.

I made a vow to loose weight from last Thanksgiving. No more pepsi's , cookies, tater chips, junk food. Down 25 # as of Saturday. Walking , diet and mental toughness has me under control. I feel 100% better and want to loose about 5 more # in the next month and a half. No special diet, just my own.

Turkey (lite) Sausage Jambalaya

all I did was buy a couble boxes of Zatarains Jumbalaya mix
added ground turkey and lite smoked sausage
seasoning blend pack, diced onions, bellpeppers and tomatoes
Precook the turkey and sausage
combine the Jumbalaya mix and turkey, sausage, and seasoning pack
bring to a boil then simmer for about 25 min.
add to taste, Tonys cajun seasoning seasoning

and walla Turkey sausage Jamalaya! Mmmmm so good!

That's great!! Have you thought about changing things up and working on building some muscle, you'll turn heads more than you probably are now.

Just went through a health screening here at work.

BMI 23 (knew that) which is right where it should be
Blood Pressure 115/78 - good
Glucose - 84
Total Chol - 171 (EXCELLENT FOR ME)
HDL Chol - 45

I've struggled with Chol in the past. Got up to near 300 at one time. Started taking red yeast rice and it worked like a champ. As a test I stopped taking it for 6 weeks before my last physical in October and it jumped back up to 240.

Back on red yeast rice and now it's back down to 171. Life is good.

Haha! I'm not doing it to turn heads. And, yes, I do some muscle workouts as well...

Has anyone here tried the Insanity workout? I was just looking at the beach body website and it looked interesting. Looks like something I would drop P90X for. But not ready to pay for it. I "stole" the P90X from my parents.

I've never used any of those programs but I can make a suggestion. It is usually good to stick to one program and run it's course to get maximum results. Although change is good to many times people change things up to often or stick to a routine to long. If you are getting results stick with it untill you finish then move on to something else.

Perhaps not but you can't convince me it's not a good feeling knowing you can.

I see people make that mistake as well. I'd suggest staying with one workout for 60 - 90 days, then change. This keeps your body from getting accustomed to what you're doing to it.
