That is what I meant. Sadly, you are right, but these financial companies as you call them are the #1 problem. You are seeing what the media wants you to see, which is car companies, workers dying. When the real reality is that the "financial" companies are stealing home and no one is watchihng. 700 billion. And yes, they are totally part of YOUR generation. Sally Mae is the one that gave you your student loan if you got one. GM is not the enemy...paper pushers and CEOs of them are.

No student loans here (scholarships + job). And the leaders are all baby boomers.

Can't compare GM with those companies. GM is doing bad just by the fact that they need this much money. True, many other large corporations are doing far worse but that does not negate the fact that GM needs billions of dollars more to stay afloat. I, like many of you surely are, am deeply concerned about our economy and country in general, but will stop it at that since I don't want to get political. Nothing much we can do aside from running for offfice or moving to Hong Kong or something.

Nearly equal Im not sure any body knows for sure unless some one knows an UAW work and the same pay level worker at the transplants. But the difference between the current hourly uaw worker and the current hourly transplant worker was around 4-7 dollars an hour diff.

Once again...that is my point. Baby boomers/CEOs. Give me my 70mil bonus and I'll go away. GM doesn't work that way. The paper pushers do. AIG and Sally Mae, once they got the 700 billion bail out, gave their CEO/baby boomers...30 million dollar bonuses to stay. Do you think GM did that for their CEO? Do you think that AIGs CEO should get a bonus? See where I'm going here?

Theres no way they were Equal or even that close. My wifes freinds husband worked at the Huyndai plant here on Alabama. He was there since it opened til just recently. I don't know 3 or 4 years. He was making 14 dollars per hour just before he quit 4 months ago to move back to Citronelle. I just can't see a GM worker making that little. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong. 3 or 4 years and $14 per. Admitedly, I don't know what his job title was but he actually makes more money at Holnam Chemical now.

OK...tard...let me splane to ju....I have an excel spreadsheet if you need one. 700 billion = lots of zeros...7 billion = 9 zeros. Who would you want to give even 1 billion to? Sally Mae or GM?

LMFAO I love fox I love to show it to all my liberal buddies. My school is very conservative. And in all the flat screens around campus it is always on FOX if it’s on a news channel. Even they usually manipulate the numbers in their favor just like that BS 70 dollar an hour claim.

OK so they will 'tighten' the gap in hourly wage but the gap in the VEBA costs are greater than that.
