Quite the collection. You can never have enough guns.
Unfortunately, my brand new Gen5 is going to suck my extra coin and firearms are on the back burner.

yeah, its is pretty cool.... I'd like to have a PS90 though.... those are just so different, plus ejecting the shells straight down is pretty cool (even catches them in a bag!).

I've shot a P90 and the rate of fire was impressive. The cost of the ammo was not... Still, nice and compact, just odd for my big hands to get used to and I'm an AR and AK fan overall.

If you got the coin now, I'd wait a bit to buy. The prices have come down a couple hundred bucks over the last 6-7 months. Maybe save you some dough if you waited even longer.

yeah, 5.7x28mm isn't cheap! I've shot the 5-7 Pistol.... pretty nice, just expensive to buy and shoot for what it is.

The AR itself won't be too bad...it is all the accessories that end up costing so much.

I'd pick up a 5.7 pistol if they weren't around a grand. That's a neat little cartridge.

Read this:

Watch this:

Based on these, unless you absolutely have to have a piston driven AR, 99.9% of people on here can get by with a direct impingement because they will never be in a situation where their guns are driven as they in the article and video.

Nice review.

Jon Doe can go into cabela's and get a $800 M&P AR and be perfectly happy.

I shoot DPMS, which isn't exactly high dollar either.

With that being said, I would purchase a piston gun as my next AR.

yeah, maybe if it was about half that! Only pistol I'd think about over $1K would be a 1911 or an old S&W N frame revolver.

If you want the best of both worlds (DI vs Piston), buy an LMT MRP CQB DI and then buy the piston kit. Then you can switch back and forth in less than 5 minutes...

I just stuck with the DI. I wanted a piston as badly as anyone when they became popular but after much soul searching and research, I realized it wasn't necessary and I would venture to say I shoot my AR more than 90% of the people on this board as I put 5k-7k through it a year. Over 10k a year with my glocks.

That's a lot of trigger time blake-b. I'm lucky to get 1K out of all my assault rifles or pistols and most of that is plinkin'. I need a nice .22 Lr to plink with and save dome dough on ammo. It's just so expensive up here in the Last Frontier due to 99% of it being barged and no way to ground ship it.
