have to have a permit to buy a handgun in NC. They charge you $5 a permit... if you have a CCW, you get to skip all that . Do you really think I'm gonna go through all that stuff every time?

Lmfao. That's crazy. Here the only thing you have to do is get a transfer of title of you're buying from out of state. In state you just pay for the gun.

long guns are easy, just take a few minutes. For a handgun here, you can get 5 permits at a time. Gotta go to the sheriff's office, fill out paperwork, get fingerprinted a few times.... all kinds of junk. For $80 I can get a CCW permit and skip all that stuff every time from now on.... makes much more sense to me than having to wait a week plus on permits

Rifles: 10 day waiting period for Background check
Handguns: Must be 21, pass written test, 10 day background check.
