Anyways, sticking a Q-tip wasn't going to work to get my ears cleansed of the wax build up. They used a cool vacuum and sucked it all out. Sounds gross but it was awesome seeing it in action.

I have to have it done once a year because I've had hearing issues and abnormal wax build up in my right ear since I was 3. I was told to never put a Q tip in because you take the chance of puncturing something and it will just pack the wax in and make it harder to get out.

This is the right way.

I always used to just stick it in there and apparently that's a no-no. My ears were a prime example of what happens with years of improper cleaning.
