How many Camaro owners are on Mustang fan sites?

Just curious. For the record I'm not.

Same here, I even used to own a Stang but I don't so I really don't see a point in of being on a Mustang site. Hell I still even drive a Ford as my daily driver but that still doesn't give me real reason to be on a Mustang site. There is a point I'm getting at with all this, in the spirit of rivalry of course....

I'm not, no reason to. I get new car info and opinions from local forums. Most specific car forums dedicated to one car offer a bias opinion. There is a reason those people bought the car. A word to describe the people you speak of is a Troll.

I've owned a few Mustangs in the past and was a member of at least three Mustang forums. When I moved on to a different make, I also moved on from those forums too. I might own another someday, but right now I really have little to no interest in them.

I'm a fan of all the American brands, so I lurk on websites dedicated to each.

Why go there, when anything you want to know on the Mustang can be found on Camaro5.

I know this is probably a joke but I have been a long time lurker. I keep seeing this posted over and over by Camaro owners on this site but you have a general automotive forum. A lot of car enthusist sites don't have this nor are they as well laid out as this one. Plus being a Mustang owner doesn't preclude me from enjoying the Camaro for what it is. I have seen nothing on this site that precludes other owners, so why pick on Mustang owners?

I get it, we are supposed to hate each other, but honestly I don't. I think Camaro's are great cars and I will always be interested in where they are going and in the opinions of others on all other vehicles. I simply don't like surrounding myself with one opinion. Mustang owners would be just as biased about a Camaro as some Camaro owners are about Mustangs. If I were to stay in "my club" I would run around thinking that the biased remarks of others in the Mustang community were true. I am sorry, but I refuse to be ignorant of your car, my car and others. My car isn't the best in the world, neither is yours. Both cars are simply great cars in a sea of really interesting stuff coming from the automotive world.

I am really excited that the Camaro is here to push Ford to compete. I thank GM for making the best Mustang in the last 40 years.

My 2 cents.

I have not idea why they would come here.....and me there....unless they were trying to start up some crap....just showing how immature they are. As KXRM stated, I too am a automotive enthusiast / hot rodder. And when you go into forums of the "OTHER GUYS" or them here, some of them can be some what confrontational. If you go in and play nice....its all good, but if you don't or if they don't....its just asking for a fight, and what good would that do. personally don't waste my time with them...we all have way to much crape in out lives to be fighting about that kind of crap....just walk away and let them have their opinion....for we all kniow how that goes....."EVERYBODY HAS ONE....JUST LIKE AN A$$HOLES". I have been running forums for the better part of 10 years.....have been an active member of 6 different ones, even a mod on one.....of those 6 forums, other than the one I am a mod on, and after I didn't that that type of car/truck/bike anymore....I left. and there is no reason to go back, unless I got another one or just to say HI in pm's to some long time friends.

I'll say this, I've noticed over the last ten years things have changed a lot in the automotive world. When I was growing up in Michigan I absolutely hated Ford, Chrysler and the Japanese automakers as I grew up in a GM family. I had family working in all types of capacities for GM, so you stayed loyal no matter what. We were all as assed backwards even to drive some of last body-on-frame rear wheel drive cars. Hell, my favorite cars growing up were my the C3 Corvette, IROC Z Camaros and sadly enough the Monte Carlo SS. All I ever wanted was something rear-wheel drive that was at least sporty.

After driving two GM vehicles right out of high school and early adulthood there was a problem. My 97 Silverado had finally reached its time to be put out to pasture. GM made a lot of stupid decisions in the late 90s like investing too heavily in trucks/SUVs and not putting money into making desirable cars outside the Corvette which, at the time was not something I could afford. The final straw came when the Camaro and Trans AM were finally killed off. GM thought people like me really wanted junk like a front-wheel drive Monte Carlo SSs but they were wrong. Thankfully, Ford did the right thing and kept the Mustang going with the SN95 platform after almost axing it in the early 90s after the Fox Body needed a replacement. So in the end I put my GM loyality go and went with a Mustang.

I'll say this about that little 02 Mustang, I had that thing for 6 years and was most reliable car I ever had. It was a V6 but with a curb weight just slightly over 3,000 pounds it was still a reasonably fun drive. Finally GM got its act together and brought back the Camaro. Had the 2010 Mustang had a 5.0 engine I may have gotten one but the 2010 Camaro had such an edge power wise I couldn't pass it up. It was kinda a bittersweet day to see that little Stang pulled into the dealer used car lot and see my brand new Camaro SS roll up to replace it. I still look for that damn Stang in Autotrader and if I find it I might buy it back so I can turbo charge it. Even still when time came to get sub-compact for my job and the Aveo was still a peice of junk, it wasn't such a difficult pill to swallow to buy a Fiesta.

This is my take on today's automotive landscape. For me the old automotive world is long dead. Its my opinion that its the right thing to do to support your domestic automakers. I've found that you should at least be able to find something worthwhile among the Big Three. To me its better to support companies that still support my family through retirement rather than resorting to a foreign automaker. I find it easier to get along with Ford and Dodge guys nowadays, I think a lot of fans of each brand have come to the same realization as I have.

Narrow-mindedness is a disease that is prevalent in any forum dedicated to one brand. The amount of ignorance that is born from it can sometimes be breathtaking. Ideally there will be one forum about all cars and it will have subforums for all the different fan models. That way people can be open-minded and learn and appreciate all cars and why its fans appreciate them. Then this world will be one big happy place!

The alternative is one sick pit of angry bigotry that you often see appear on Camaro5 - people screaming to have threads shut down because their small minds cannot comprehend them; or angrily denouncing threads that they disagree with. Do you really want this kind of fanatically religious forum?

WoW! Dude you really need to take a chill pill and don't take things on forum so seriously. Narrow-minded disease(I didn't know it was a disease , one happy forum where we all get along(yeah right, sounds like socialism , angry bigotry(WOW). I mean this in all due respect, but you sound very angry. No need to get worked up over a forum, really.
