You gotta pay to play and that's just the cold hard truth. I myself could care less about todays gas price compared to yesterdays. Honestly, look at the mods many people like me have added onto their 25 to 40k Camaro. If you can come up with money for a heritage grill or a supercharger or whatever than you can certainly come up with another $10 when you get gas. If you can't then you probably have your priorities all out of whack and bought a car out of your overall price range in the first place.

I burn 25 gallons a week. From 3-5 bucks means $7.15 a day. I could recoup that by riding the bus, but that will be a cold day in Hell. You have to know what is important in life.

It just went up another 20 cents. 87 is 3.39 now. I haven't had to fill up since, so I haven't check 93 yet. I love 93 octane.

Damn straight I sure wouldn't want to take the bus with all the snow in Michigan as of late, but a GT??? $7.15 is probably pretty close to what people pay for morning coffee at Starbucks or what the buy in fast food. Simple solution; buy a 12 pack of pop and drink one before work and bag your own lunch. Look its magic, we have a total offset of the in increase of gas price. Who knows in this hypothetical situation gas may go back down and you could be pocketing the $7.15 everyday.

Um I dont buy 20+ gallons of coffee a week and even people who chain smoke only go through 1-2 packs a day. You cant compare little things like milk or sandwiches in cost to gas because you dont buy anywhere near as much on a weekly basis.

Unleaded was $3.73 yesterday when I filled up my little '98. It wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't averaging 11-12 miles a gallon. In a sixer.
Fingers crossed that it'll change in June, when I won't have to commute to a school in the hills. That just eats up the gas...

And the point of this thread is....??? Just to mention something that already known and mentioned about 5 times already.

Get over it people... if you can't afford a few extra bucks at the pump, sell your car, you can't afford it anyhow. And don't start on me about the effects on the entire economy... gas goes up, shipping costs go up, merchadise goes up, people buy less, people lose their jobs... yea, I get it.

Until we (the US government) get our head out of our asses and start using OUR OIL thats under OUR SOIL and maiking affordable, were screwed.

Our options:

1. Don't drive the Camaro (yeah right!)
2. Suck it up and pay the price
3. Go to war with China

take how much gas you buy in a given week. Divide it by 7. that number, for some people, is very comparable (maybe even less) to the amount they spend on a starbucks drink every morning. the two values are VERY comparable.

i average about $4.60 on gas every day. drinks at starbucks can get above $6.

Just don't drink alcohol, starbucks, smoke, or go to fancy restaurants and your pockets should be overflowing with extra cash to get gas. bring your lunch to work. skip fast food. do oil changes yourself.

$3.89 for 91 octane per gallon, $7.50 for 1 gallon of (cheap)beer..if you drink one you can't do the other and Visa versa...Everything===$$$$$, Everything. Wasn't that long ago when it took a "C" note to top off the Trailblazer SS and I can feed this Camaro a little better now but I find myself putting the nozzle to "Her" Alot, The price We pay to feel GOOD...........Burn Tires not Dope
