I see this as being a competitor to the Impala SS more than the G8, simply because its a family sedan with a strong engine, not a sports sedan. I will concede that it should kick the ass of the Impala SS.

And as for that 'dyno' sheet, its amazing what can happen when you use 5 data points to make a graph. Not saying it won't be flat, but it won't be that flat.

GM managed to get a similar curve out of the LNF and hold the peak from 2500 to 5250.

Looks like the board won't let me insert PDFs as pix, so here is a link:

While I think it would be great in a lot of performance applications I’m not sure that they will put it in the Mustang. It can’t be cheap so no reason to put it as the base model V-6 and detuned. The target market for the GT is going to want a V8 even if you could tune the TT6 for more power. I guess they could offer a 275hp 6, 330hp TT6 and a 400hp V8.

I’d prefer to see the engine in something lighter that has the ability to handle, maybe an RWD or AWD Probe; could even call it a Fusion Coupe or something.

What I've hear and read is that the current POS 4.0 in the Mustang will be replaced next year with the D35 (NA version of the TT V6 in question) and that the GT will come with your choice of the TT 3.5 V6 or a V8 both making about 400hp.

I assume that Ford will discontinue one of the GT engines after watching take rates, reliability, legislation and costs for a couple years.
