Yeah! Toning up makes a huge difference. When people start to notice you're losing weight and you've only lost 8 pounds, you know it's not just the weight, it's the toning! Go Pamaro...

Nice work Pam. I only use a scale because I'm a data kinda guy. The mirror tells the real story.

Got a good compliment today. A guy came up and said he couldn't believe how strong I am for my size. After I made sure he wasn't hitting on me LOL, I told him I'd give up half my strength for 50 lbs of size

Today's workout went good.

Legs/Triceps
HS Hack Squat - 295 @ 5x5
Plate Load Leg Press - 585 @ 5x5
HS Leg Ext - 150 @ 5x5
HS Leg Curl - 135 @ 5x5
Standing Calve Raise - 110 9/3 (20 second negatives each rep)
Super Nose Breaker - 95 @ 5x5
Rev Grip Smith Bench - 155 @ 5x5
Tricep Rope Extension - 100 @ 5x5

Ran out of time for cardio so I'll do a 30 minute walk at lunch. I got to socializing with a guy at the gym.

The guy I got to talking to runs a health store. He's got a 18 year old kid that works for him who swears he's all natural. He's 5'11 and 195 5% bodyfat. NUTS. I stopped by the store to talk with them and got to talking to the kid about his diet and what not. The dude eats a CUP OF SUGAR after every workout and was eating crappy Chineese food while we were talking WTH! There's no way I could do that and build muscle like this kid has even when I was 18.

Another interesting conversation with another guy this morning....he's been struggling to lean up. I suspect poor diet, but don't know him that well. I see him at the gym all the time and have for the past few years but he never really looks different. Well, the interesting conversation was about this local place called "Genesis". Apparently they give testosterone injections as a weight loss program. Ummmm OK? He said it's $100 a month and he's gonna try it out. I'm curious to see how it goes for him and surprised it's legal, but he says they do lab work every 90 days and all that as part of the program.

I told him to keep an eye on his bad cholesterol with that and to be careful with the weights as the strength will pour on like a freight train. I need to check that place out to see what the deal is.

Used up the last of my ON Whey today, and my Pro Complex showed up last night so I'll be using that here on out to see how it does. The BB judge spoke highly of the Diamond X7 from Panthera Labs so I got some of that and will see how it does. I'm good at tracking data so if it works worth a crap I'll let you guys know. Took it this morning for the 1st time before workout and noticed I felt very calm and zen like on the way to the gym. Felt a little more peppy in the workout (likely from the caffeine in or some root or whatever) and felt a bit hotter for an hour or so after the workout. Didn't need my normal 2 cups of coffee today either but no jitters thus far.

I've been carb tapering like you guys suggested. Dinners have been a grilled chicken breast and spinach salad mostly this week. Lunch today will be 1 5oz BB tuna (lemon pepper), 1 cup brocolli, 1oz almonds. I think I forgot the Ritz so it'll be gagging that tuna down today.

Giving testosterone for weight loss seems kind of odd. Normally T is given to aid in muscle growth. They could be using this theory, which kinda makes sense ,I guess. Theoretically one of the reasons for doing cardio for weight loss along with weight lifting is this. Doing lengthy cardio burns fat but also burns muscle , an example would be long distance runners, always very thin with no muscular definision. When you incorparate weight lifting you gain muscle, it requires more calories to maintain muscle than fat so as you reduce fat storage (through cardio) and gain muscle through weight lifting your body burns more calories just to substain the muscle, now because your burning more cals because of body composition you burn more cals even while your sleeping so now your nmetabilism raises and the cycle goes on. This combination accelerates fat lost to it's fullest but takes strict attention to diet, normally you would encorporate tactics like carb tapering or carb cycleing. This is important because calorie intake cannot to be to high as to promote fat gain but must be high in proteins a good carbs to aid in muscle groth so proper proportions of extra clean food choices are needed to get the best nutrition without empty calories.

I never heard of anyone giving T shot's except by doctors, but not directly for muscle growth, in most cases because of medical problems due to low T levels.

drop the super nose breakers, find another substitute. more people end up hurting tendons in elbows doing nose breakers.

yes, at 18, you can eat like that, as long as he is maintaining his workout, but it's very bad habits he's learning and will not help him in his mid-late 20's.

I'm betting they are injecting B12 and not Test, as it does not sound legal at all. That is crossing into a whole other world of needing to know things, or he may end up with some pretty breast, crashing, body shutting down of creating own test, etc. Not really educated decision there, stay away.

Give the Kenpo X or Cardio X a try.

Also, I have a wonderful tracking spreadsheet that you can track all your workouts on. You simply plug in your personal stats, date started, which program you want to do (lean, classic or doubles) etc and it will calculate exactly what workouts to do on what days. PM me your email address and I will be happy to send it to you!

So I'm just chilling and I saw the commercial for the perfect ab machine....(about the 12th time in 45 minutes). Seems very gimmicky to me. I wish companies would quit selling their shit and do stuff to actually improve your health.
