Livernois Shelby GT1000R Mag Shoot Photos

Watch for this in the April 2011 issue of Muscle Mustangs & Fast Fords Magazine. Mike "The Photo Guy" Yoksich shot the photos for the article. I took my camera along and took these shots.

Mike The Photo Guy sent me these.... I thought I was going to jail after that burnout. We sat there contemplating for a while, then I did it and as I rolled out of the smoke, the police drove by. There is no way they didn't hear or see it

Here's the dyno graph... yes it makes over 800 RWTQ at 2,600 RPM's. It's a bit of a handful.

The car is nearly 4,200 lbs. with driver and I ran 9.93 @ 142 mph on 20's in it letting off the gas pretty early, because it was cold and it was getting a little squirrelly. Earlier in the day spinning, in and out of the gas, staying in it, it went 150 mph.

How fast is directly proportional to how big a check to write!

It's a great looking car Rick.

I couldn't imagine trying to even drive it.... LOL

I am really starting to like gt500s more and more. This one however seems to be class apart.

Driving around town, you would never know it made the kind of power it does. It's very tame until you get on the gas. I put about 400 miles on it that day between the photo shoot and driving to and from the track.

It's a handful to drive on those tires. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous/scared of the car at the track. It really needs a slick or a 15" drag radial with a good sidewall.

My first pass had a 2.something 60' and was 11.0 @ 150 mph. I got some mid 10 passes with a lot of mph, a 10.40, then the last pass, it went a 1.9 60' and 6.51 @ 116 mph in the 1/8th. It got a little loose and I let off before the 1/4 but was still happy with with 9's on 20's

I know if I have to ask, I can't afford it.

But, what would it take to get 1 of these?
